"Captain! There's a box here next to some treasure!" a member of the crew shouted.
Kid raises a brow quizzically and walks towards to what the man was holding in his hand. It was a small black Victorian box that seemed to be covered in dust as if no one had touched it in a very long time. He grabs the box from the man's hands and seen that it had a lock on it and he really didn't want to damage the box with his devil fruit powers since whatever could be inside can just fall out of it from the pure force of the pull. He growled to himself out of frustration knowing that he was going to have to take it to you, the crew's scientist and convincing you wasn't going to be an easy task.
Kid orders his men to grab all the loot and haul it onto the ship. They follow his order accordingly and once they made sure everyone was on board, they continued on with their journey. With that being said, Kid still has the box in hand and walks through the halls to where your workshop was. He stood in front of your door and he can hear you working hard on making whatever you project you had in mind, which was mainly weapons because you were a pretty violent person. You can especially tell that you were such a violent person by all the old markings on your door in the past where you'd throw anything sharp towards anyone who barged in through your door; despite that most times it was an emergency so they had no choice but to barge in, but they knew now not to ever barge in for any reason.
Kid shook his head at the very thought of that and knocked on your door. He heard you shout for him to come in, so he did so. As he walked in, he noticed that the project your were working on was a modified scientific sword, seeing that it didn't look like a normal sword to begin with. He closes the door and you place your goggle on top of your head as your face held a scowl towards him.
"What?" you said impatiently.
"I need you to make a key for this box."
"Kid, I haven't done locksmith work since I was a child." you said bitterly. "Why don't you just break it open by force like the brute man that you are."
"I didn't come here to be fucking insulted!" he growled. "Just get it done! Captain's orders!"
"Captain's orders!" you mocked, not even afraid of him in the slightest. "Say something else, you broken record!"
"(Y/n), I swear to god!" he said through gritted teeth before he sighed heavily. "Look, whatever's in there I'll split it with you."
"Tsk! Fine, give it here." you say as you outstretch your hand towards him. "I'll see what I can do. I'll call you over when I'm about to open it."
"Alright."
Kid hands you the box and leaves your workshop. You sighed to yourself quite bitterly seeing that you had to stop working on your latest project and had to do what you hated most since it was so boring. You place the box onto your large desk and looked for your old tool box to see if you had any blank keys left and grabbed some tools you'd needed to do the job.
"Let's just get this done..."
------
"Jesus fucking Christ!" you groaned. "I finally finished it!"
You set the key down and leave your workshop to look for your captain. You head towards his room and knock on it, but you didn't get a response. You leave his door and head out onto the deck and your eyes begins to squint seeing that the sun was still raised high into the sky blasting its harsh rays onto you. You hear the crew slightly laugh at you as they muttered the word vampire under their breaths and you instantly look towards their direction to let them know you had heard what they said. They notice your gaze and freeze up before bowing profusely towards you as they asked for your forgiveness since they didn't want to get chopped up by you.
