Originally, I was going to make this into like... a realistic baby thing, but then I realized that this is an anime and a fiction about halfway through and nothing has to be real LOL.

Today was the day that you were finally adopting a baby from the adoption center. You were in your mid 20's, and you were still able to find a partner, however, you weren't able to conceive a baby. It was devastating to you, but that never stopped you in trying to becoming a mother. You looked at different adoption agency's, and there was one baby that had caught your interest.

The people at the agency had found a match for you, but they weren't sure if they should give up the baby due to some minor behavioral problems, and find you a new match. You thought it was quite odd that they would pass up the baby and find you another one, so you had questioned more about the baby boy you would have wanted. They seemed to be at a loss of words on how to explain it, but you assured them it couldn't be that bad. You wanted to see the photo of the baby they had matched you with first, and boy was it a treat.

In the photo, it was a small redheaded baby with gorgeous fiery-orange eyes, however it seemed he was being quite difficult and pulling on the care taker's hair roughly as two other adults were seen trying to pry his small chubby fingers off of her as his little teeth were being used to bite one of their hand; not to mention his face held nothing but anger. You thought it was pretty funny to see this picture and deemed that this baby had a lot of personality.

After seeing the photo, you happily told the agency that this baby was indeed the one. They practically gawked at your words and asked again to make sure you wanted him. You agreed once more, and they had no choice but to send you that baby's documents via email to look through everything. It was practically all the documents they have of him for as long as he was in their care, and you were going to have to go to a physician just to make sure with the baby's health. It was a long process to go through and it tired you out, but the happiness you felt didn't even compare to your exhaustion. The baby named Eustass Kid was going to be a huge game changer in your life.

Just remembering that happiness filled your heart as you entered the building and stated your business to the man sitting at the front desk. He directs you on where to go and with each step you got closer to meeting your baby, you heart beats loudly as the ambiance of the offices weren't even making it to your ears anymore.

You reach the door that you needed to be, and knocked on it. A woman with short brown hair and honey like eyes, that seemed to be invaded by bags, opened the door. You give her a light smile to be polite and greet her, but she interrupted you and grabbed both your hands into her own.

"I will pray for you..." she said tiredly. "He's a tough one."

"A-Ah, thanks...!" you laughed awkwardly. "I'm sure I'll be able to manage."

"You'll understand soon enough." she sighed as she lead you into the room.

Although, the moment you entered, you were met with an angry 11 month old baby sitting on the couch flailing his tiny little arms around and shouting at everyone and everything he saw. The workers here had to grab things away from the baby so he wouldn't be able to throw it at anyone, which only caused him to go into a bigger fit. Despite the loud crying, you thought the scene was pretty funny.

"You're Miss (L/n)?" a woman hurriedly walked over to greet you with a strained smile.

"That's me."

"We're getting everything prepared for you in order to take him home, so please wait here until we pack you all of his belongings." she said before walking off to continue packing the baby's stuff.
