I was stuck swimming in an empty tank for days that soon turned into weeks, and before I knew it, I had been in here for months. I was captured by a man named Eustass Kid and I was forced to be a pet for his eyes only. We had started as good friends, but he had became infatuated with me to the point where he had to enclose me and keep me with him; I missed being free in the vast ocean waters with trouble at every corning from the wild life. The longer I stayed in this tank, the more depressed I became and I think Kid could tell as well. He would no longer look at me the way he used to... his face now held uncertainty of what he should do.

The memory of him walking up to the tank as he held his hand against the glass of where my hand was placed. I watched as he wavered from my crestfallen face, trying to show him that I wasn't happy in here. He would be choked up by my saddened face and walk off, probably to ignore the guilty feeling he felt for imprisoning me.

There was no hatred in my body towards Kid, for I have loved him when we had first met. I understand his reasoning for this, but it wasn't the right way to go about it. He knew our love can never be... and he couldn't accept the reality. He would continue to sail the world and turn a blind eye to what I wanted and to what I needed. I can only wish and hope that he will do what's right in the end.

As I had idly sat in the tank, the door to my room had opened, revealing the only person allowed in here, Kid. He had entered the room with a plate of food and I had instinctively swam to the top to surface. I leaned my arms on the cold metal platform as he slowly climbed up the stairs and walked carefully down a metal set of stairs to meet me at the platform.

"Here, I made the chefs cook you a nice vegetarian meal." he said.

"Thank you." I mumbled quietly as I took the plate of food from him. I grabbed the utensils from him as well and I began to silently eat my food. Kid lowered himself down to sit down on the stairs as he watched me eat.

"How is it?" he said, breaking the silence.

"It's very delicious." I said, not meeting his gaze.

"That's good..." he said sounding a bit awkward.

Our interactions have been like this the more the days went on in my solitude. I no longer had that energy I used to have when I was playful and happy. I felt mentally drained to give him the responses he wanted... I could no longer give the (Y/n) he so desperately craved. As soon as I was finished with my meal, he had taken the empty plate along with the silverware, leaving me to be alone once more.

Meanwhile with Kid, he had left your room feeling empty as his heart ached, letting him feel the guilt he tried to mask. He knew what he had to do, but his selfishness stopped him from doing what's right. If he were to set you free, he couldn't have you by his side where its safe and away from the dangers of the sea... he was also afraid you would forget about him as if he was a distant memory that would fade away as time goes on or worse, you would find a new lover, a man who you could actually start a family with... and replace him like he was nothing.

Placing the dirty plate and silverware in the sink, he leans on his hands, cursing at himself that he couldn't let that fear go in order to give you what you want so that you can be happy once again. Sighing to himself, he exits the kitchen and walked out onto the deck to make sure everything was going smoothly. He looked around to see everyone was working hard and doing their duty, so he sat down on a barrel, watching the sky. He couldn't spare the sea a glance for it would only make him feel even more guilty.
