Chapter 8

Chapters 8 promise me you won't bite?

After attacking the ninja intruder and leaving him like.... Well, I am not going to describe how he is right now. But let's just say, he will have a hard time doing, well everything.

I turned to Alex, still in my Enlightenment state.

"What exactly is going on?" I asked her.

"The ones that were after you this morning apparently still want you. They are quite persistent, they normally wait for a while before attacking the same person twice. "
She replied

"How often does this happen?"

"A lot more than you think it should." For a weird reason she found that very funny and started giggling.

That was it for me. I couldn't take it anymore! There were so many bizarre things happening. I tried to stay calm but I can't anymore.

This place, for a moment i thought that I would be safe here, but apparently i was wrong. I needed to calm down and get someone to tell me what to do.

I created wings on my back that are made of energy. One is red and one is blue then headed towards the window

"Where do you think you are going?" She asked

"I need some answers, and I need to get them from someone I can trust! And quite frankly, I have absolutely no reason to trust either you or Adam." I replied

Alex crossed her arms, the humor in her eyes is now gone. "And who exactly is the person that you trust that will give you your answers huh? Well news flash! Everyone who even knows that people like us exists is either here in lumen or with the guys that want to kill you"

"Not everyone." I had a crazy thought in my mind, it was impossible before but after what happened today, it made perfect sense.

I jumped through the window and started flying between the buildings of the city

A flash of green light behind me caught my eye, I looked to see Alex flying behind me her eyes shining green and she had matching green wings on her back.

"Are you planning to stop me?" I asked her.

"I was planning to, but seeing how determined you are, I realized I will have to fight you to stop you. Don't get me wrong, I can easily take you out, but we will be easy targets for the enemy. So instead, I am coming with you....... Adam ordered me to take care of you so i have no choice. "She explained.

I didn't like that I won't be able to be free, I will have to restrain myself and not speak freely in front of this person.

She must have noticed my expression and that humor sparkle returned to her eyes.

"Don't worry, I won't bite." she teased jokingly.

"You promise?" I asked her sarcastically.

"No... Not really, but I am your best shot of even getting out of the city." she replied.

I haven't thought of that. I have no idea where this place is, or how I even got here. My best shot would be flying around the city for a while before someone else catches me.
