Chapter 6 cool you guys have an arena.... Wait a death battle???
I haven't told you about my father yet haven't I?
Well from what i know he is about 40 years old, worked as a scientist in somewhere far and he never came to our house
Seriously that's all i know about him, every time either me or my brother ask my mother about him she would say those exact things and refuse to give us any more details, it drove us crazy over the years until we learned that we will never get any more info on our father
So naturally my head was spinning after what Doctor Adam said
my head was so full of questions but strangely what came out was
"umm... Cool"
Pathetic i know but can you blame me? i was glowing a few hours ago and some guy apparently an alien was talking to me inside my head so adding my father that was it my mind can't handle any more weirdness so i will just keep acting normal until my mind relaxes.... One bizarre thing at a time
Dr. Adam said "i know this is a lot to process so how about i show you around? Trust me the tour will get your mind of things"
"And i will start thinking about even stranger things?"
Dr Adam smiled and winked then he gestured to me to look through the window in the room
When i looked i lost the ability to speak
A huge city spread in front of me, each building was an engineering miracle, one building looked like a huge ball colored in red with machine guns coming out of holes in it
Another building looked like a pyramid, it was colored in yellow and on top of it there was a huge diamond that shone very brightly i had to look away
Actually when i focused a bit the entire city was sort of glowing, everything emitted a small glow like a second layer to the building
"Wow" i couldn't find any other word to describe what i was seeing
Dr Adam said " impressive huh? This is the work of generations, a place where our kind can live without hiding, using our powers with no caution"
"What exactly is this place?" I said
"Welcome to lumen the city of light" Adam replied
We got out of my room and started going down the stairs Adam said he will show me some of the interesting buildings in the city including an arena which is used for death battles, apparently in this city it is perfectly legal to challenge someone for a fight until one of the two dies
We reached the first floor and started walking a bit passing several rooms
Some of the doors were open and i could see beds inside so i figured this building must be a dorm of some sort
We walked by a room and i happened to glance inside and i froze
It was the girl i saw while i was passed out her hair wasn't floating and her eyes weren't shining but definitely her, she was reading a book i couldn't make out its title
She suddenly closed the book so hard that it echoed and looked directly at me
" for how long are you going to keep staring at me?" she said
I tried to reply but my tongue got tied
This is so not me, i can talk to females actually i am pretty good at it but somehow this girl is different
"Oh i believe you two have already met max this is Alex she is the one that healed you back to full health" Adam said
During all that happened i almost forgot about the battle then it hit me all at once strong enough to wake me of my daze
"wait where is Simon? What happened to him?" i asked Adam
"I am afraid that they took him, you were their primary target but when they found out you are harder than they thought they decided to take him instead..... He was such an amazing guy what a shame"
"What do you mean by that? Are they going to kill him? Who are these guys anyway?"
Adam was about to reply when the sound of an explosion came from somewhere near
"Damn it, Alex look after max until i come back" Adam said and ran ahead towards the sound of the explosion
"What is going on?" i asked Alex
she said "apparently we got a few intruders and guess what? One of them is climbing the window behind you right now, time to show me that you really are worth all this trouble or not" she said with a strange gleam in her eyes
I turned around and sure enough a guy dressed up like a ninja was climbing the window his eyes were shining gray
One look at us and he immediately formed a three headed dog with his energy a Cerberus that launched itself at me
Um a little help here
(what are you waiting for? Hurry up and use Enlightenment)
The Cerberus was an inch of my face when red and blue light exploded all around me pushing it away
I don't know how i activated it but i wasn't about to complain now,
Huge amount of energy started flowing through my body i could feel my soul sharing its control over my body with the other soul, the soul of the Saru
The Cerberus launched itself at us again but this time it was almost like it was moving in slowmotion
We formed a huge sword with the red light emitting of me and with one swiftmove we cut off all three heads of the creature
We looked at the ninja straight in the eye i knew that my eyes were shining like him and said "say goodbye to your limps" then we charged him
