Chapter 17

Chapter 17 the sun, the moon, the truth

Alex was right, when we stepped inside we found mike, Dr Adam and a few others gathered outside the balcony and they looked like they were planning an attack

"Max" Adam said "we were about to wake you, did you hear the..."

He stopped talking when he finally noticed alpha on my shoulder

"Is that a Phoenix?" he asked in awe

"Yup" i replied

He stayed silent for a bit obviously trying to form a complete sentence in his head

"Can i touch it?" he asked

"Um...sure"

He approached me and extended his hand to touch alpha but alpha started screeching so loudly and almost snapped his hand

"He does not seem to like you much" i said

"Well" he said "giving my intention to study him that's no surprise, the Phoenixes are very proud creatures and i heard they can sense someone's intention, the Saru used them to detect spies"

How many powers exactly does he have?

(No one knows, that's what make them so amazing)

"Next time you decide to bring a friend over" Dr Adam said "i would appreciate a bit of a heads up, you got us very worried"

And with that everybody moved back to their rooms, mike approached me and started stroking alpha's head

"Well i guess my intentions are pure huh?" he said smiling

I felt bad , he still haven't forgave me for what i said

"Look mike..." i started

"It's ok max" he interrupted me "you had every right to distrust me, but right now we need to put this behind our back if we are going to survive what's coming"

And with that happy note he left towards his room leaving me and Alex alone

"Next time" she said "i want you to be the one talking, i want to know more about you... And your Saru"

She winked at me and left

"Guess that just leave me and you buddy huh?" i told alpha

He squeaked happily in reply

I was scared to sleep again but i needed my full strength and i was very tired so i went to my room and fell asleep on the bed immediately

When i opened my eyes i was crying, i didn't remember what i dreamt but i was sure it was very intense

I tried to wipe my eyes and ended up crying even more
*what's going on?* i thought

Allios, what did i dream about?

(I showed you something of my past, i think it's time that you see it)

But why i don't remember it?

(You will but in the right time, i am afraid that this was the last chance i had to show you this.... Before it happens)

I figured trying to know what happened is pointless since Allios was so determined so i got up and left my room to head for one of the baths and take a hot shower

After a quick breakfast and a few other stuff we were all standing outside of the tent and watched as one of Dr Adam's men clapped his hands and the tent disappeared
