Chapter 3

Chapter 3 helps me! I am shining aaaaaaaah

(Enlightenment)

This term came to my mind for no apparent reason it was as if someone whispered it to me and it got stuck in my head

Me and Simon was having lunch in one of the nearby restaurants, I tried my best to keep the man in black coat out of my mind for the rest of the day but of course he was all what I could think about

"So are you ever going to tell me what's wrong with you today?" Simon asked me while eating

"What? I am good I am just a bit nervous about going back to college tomorrow" I replied

Of course I can't tell him what really worries me he would think I am crazy, heck I think I am crazy

Simon obviously not convinced shrugged "fine I will act like I believe you but whenever you are ready to talk I am there for you"

I said "thanks mate" and continued my food

At dawn we were relaxing at the park when the world enlightenment came into my mind again but this time it wasn't like a whisper it was more of a normal sound level, I even thought that Simon is the one who said it but his lips hadn't moved and the voice was much deeper than him

Yeah I was sure that it was a voice not a feeling, actually when I think about it all those weird feelings I have been having they weren't a hunch or something like that but it was someone talking to me in a very low yet clear voice

I started to become afraid, this is becoming more and more weird my mind is definitely on the verge of collapsing

(That's not true)

My eyes widened I looked over at Simon who still hadn't moved his lips ....so this actually happened someone replied to me I was too afraid to try it but I did

Hello?

(So you want to start a conversation with a guy in your head with a hello? you are quite the weird guy aren't you?)

I won't lie to you I screamed startling Simon so much that he jumped back and fell

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Simon asked me

I just stared at him unable to speak or move it was like I was frozen

(Yeah stand still like a statue that will make it less weird)

Simon was looking at me like I was crazy then his expression changed and a smile formed on his mouth

"So, he is finally awake huh?" he said

"Who exactly is awake?" I replied

(Careful something is not right about this guy take caution)

This was absurd I have known Simon my entire life but somehow I took the word of whomever in my head, I trusted him more than my friend

"The Saru in you he is finally awake right? You are talking to him right now, aren't you?"

"Are you stupid Simon? How could I talk to someone in my head, I am not telepathic"

The smile on his face melted away, I could see him doubting himself, he was so sure that it finally happened and I wouldn't lie to him I was his best friend

OK I know Simon pretty well yes but not well enough to be able to read his expression that damn good

Are you the cause of this?

(Of course this and much more stuff for example duck!!)

I did and a yellow axe flew over me, if I was late by a millisecond it would have taken my head with it

I looked behind me and two figures engulfed in yellow light were coming towards me at an alarming speed

(Two things you should know: first these two are in enlightenment in case you were wondering, second they are here to kill you)

What? Why? I didn't do anything

(Apparently that doesn't matter to them)

Right on cue one of them held another yellow axe and slashed at me but blue light in the form of a shield formed in front me and blocked the attack, the blue light was linked to Simon

"Get behind me now!" Simon said

I ran and stood behind him

"Who are these people, Simon?" I said

"Let's say for now they are bad guys and basically they either want me or you dead" Simon said

The two men launched to the air as if it wasn't weird enough what they do and started firing bolts of yellow energy at me and Simon

They were in perfect harmony their attacks and timing is perfect with each other, it was as if they were linked together in their mind

Simon's shield was taking all of these bolts but small cracks started to appear on it, it was obvious it won't last very long

"Max, hold my shoulder I can't do this alone" he told me

I did and the blue light coming out of Simon started to surround me too but in matter of a second the light changed color to both red and blue

"That was fast, the Saru in you must have been on the brink of awakening, well that will hasten it a bit" Simon said

The light now coming out of me started to shine brighter much brighter, brighter than Simon and the two men

Simon looked at me in horror "you lied to me; you said he didn't wake yet, why did you do that?"

I was still frozen just staring at Simon don't know what to do or what to say

Simon jumped away from me leaving the bolts of energy hitting me directly but the blue part of the light coming from me took the form of a shell and deflected the bolts

(At last enlightenment, I have waited this moment for a long time)

Enormous amount of energy was forming inside of me and increasing rapidly, my body started to heat up so much that steam was coming out of me

I gritted my teeth that it almost broke and let it all out with one very loud scream creating a huge explosion all around me
