Leon's POV

I groan when I hit the floor with a thud. I look as Mendez bends the steel on the door. "This should keep that annoying creature from interfering." He turns to face me, slowly moving forward.

I roll out of the way when he throws a punch.

I notice a red barrel and kick it. It falls over and fuel pours out, getting to Mendez's feet.

"Hasta luego." I shoot the fuel, causing it to catch fire. The flames engulf Mendez. I quickly jump out of the way when the barrel explodes, causing most of the barn to catch on fire.

I turn and watch as he starts changing with sickening snaps. His torso separates from his lower half as his spine grows, nails turning into long claws. Two long insect like appendages come out of his back.

I fight him with incendiary grenades and my hand gun. His top half completely separates with his lower half and he swings around on the rails using the large appendages on his back. I dodge the swipes and fire at him when I get the chance. I use a grenade to get him down on the ground and unload a clip in him before he gets back up swings around again.

I use my shotgun when I get him on the ground again. He yells before collapsing into a heap. I step forward when his false eye falls out. I pick it up, remembering a note say something about it.

I look when the fire causes some wood to fall, giving me an opening to get out. I jump out of it, rolling to my feet. I run to the front of the barn where Ashley waits for me.

"Are you okay Leon?"

I give her a short nod. "Yeah. Let's get going." I stop when I see she's not following, but instead looking around. "Ashley, what is it? Did you see someone else out here?"

She shakes her head, quickly moving to me. "No. Just a really, REALLY big black dog. It went up to the doors and rammed against them. When the doors didn't open, it growled before walking in a circle. I didn't see if it left or if it's still around."

I quickly look around, eyes searching the darkness for a pair of golden eyes. I sigh when my search comes up empty. I look back at Ashley. "You don't need to be scared of that wolf. She's not gonna hurt you."

"She? How do you know it's a girl?" She asks as we start our walk back to the lift.

"Luis told me. But like I said, you don't need to be scared of her. It's a very good thing to have her near. Now come on." Along the way, I keep my eyes out for the wolf but the night makes it near impossible to do so.

'May make it hard for me to find her, but it also means it's hard for them to find her too.'

I hold the false eye up to the light at the gate. I get rid of the eye once getting through the gate. I see lights up ahead of the path and hear a truck start up. I keep Ashley at the gate as I move forward.

I fire at the driver as he drives the truck towards me, killing his fellow men in the process. The truck crashes in front of me. I keep my eyes and gun trained on the truck as I have Ashley follow me.

We get up the hill when a bunch of Ganados come through the gate. "Ashley stay behind me!" I start firing at them. When I see no end to them, I take us farther down the path.

I look at the castle. "On the other side of the bridge!"

"Yeah." We both run across the draw bridge, the Ganados slowly trying to catch up.
