Chapter 34 - Serena

I was furious.  I mean, how dare he do that in front of the entire board at his first fucking board meeting.  Erica followed me to my office but was surprisingly quiet.  I turned to her, "What?"

She shook her head but spoke anyway, "It wasn't as bad as you think.  You handled it really well."

I laughed, "Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I mean they looked like assholes, but it was nothing bad for you."

I took a deep breath and sighed, "Maybe you're right."

"Of course I'm right!  And if I were you, I'd go to find him and fuck his brains out."

I laughed out loud.  That was typical Erica, but she never failed to make me feel better.  This was exactly why I loved her.  It was also why we'd probably make great business partners.  She was my person, the yin to my yang.  She balanced out my neuroses and make me take a serious chill pill.  

"I love you, you know that right?"

She nodded, "As you should, bitch.  Now get out of here.  Go find your man.  We can plan tomorrow."

"You mean you're going to spend your Friday night working?" 

She flipped me off on her way out of my office, "I told you, I'm a changed woman."

Although talking to Erica made me feel better, I still wasn't sure what to say to Reese.  I saw her point and she was right, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I still felt like I should say something.  Instead of heading to Reese's, I took the back stairs down to my car and drove home.  

I quickly changed into running gear and headed out for a run.  I made my way to the park Reese and I had been running at and started our usual path.  My thoughts were running wild with everything that had happened in the past few weeks.  It wasn't even that long ago that I met Reese, but I already knew I loved him.  I knew he was someone that I could see myself spending the rest of my life with, and that wasn't something I'd ever felt before.  

While part of me didn't like his actions at the meeting, a deeper part of me loved it.  He stood up for me and he didn't care what people thought because of it.  I was starting to realize I didn't really care what my coworkers thought of me, so what he did at the meeting didn't matter.  

Eventually, I slowed down to a jog and realized I was near Reese's house.  It has also started raining.  I continued my run until I was at his front door.  It was now pouring down rain as I rang his doorbell, hoping that he was home.  My heart raced as I waited for him to open the door and when he did, I flung myself at him, covering his lips with mine in a searing kiss.  Water dripped down my face and onto him, but he didn't seem to care, he just took me into his arms and returned my kiss with fever.

It wasn't until he had me swept me inside and shut the door that we broke apart, panting.  His smiled down at me, "Well, I have to say, Miss James, this was not the greeting I was expecting."  

"I just, I had to see you.  What you did... It was so stupid.  But I loved it.  I love you."

He didn't let me say anything more.  He just picked me up and kissed me.  He had me pressed against the door and we only broke apart long enough to tear each other's clothes off before fusing our lips back together in a heated kiss.  Once I was naked, he walked me over to the couch and laid me down.  His hand trailed down my cheek, "I love you too, Serena."  He said before kissing me senseless.

He thrust hard into me as we kissed.  I ran my nails down his back and gripped his ass, urging him to go deeper, to fuck me harder.  He did just that, pounding into me until we both came.

Afterward, we lay cuddled on the couch as he ran his hands up and down my back.  He had thrown a blanket over us and was trying to keep me warm after getting me out of my wet clothes.

"Will you stay with me?" he asked softly.

I nodded, and he picked me up and carried me to the bedroom.  He laid me down on the bed and took his time kissing every single inch of my body until I was shaking and begging him to make love to me.  

He chuckled softly and said, "Well, only because you begged."  Then he entered me slowed and continued to rock into me until he had me on the edge once again.  He took the opportunity to bite my nipple at the same time his pelvis ground against my clit causing me to fall over the edge.
