If she thought that she was getting off that easy, she had another thing coming. I wasn't about to just give up. Giving up wasn't something I did; in fact, not giving up is what made me so successful. I persevered in all situations. That's what made me unique, I was creative, and could ultimately use that creative thinking to work out any problem I faced. In reality, her blowing me off just made me want to work harder to get her into my bed.

From the moment I walked through the door this evening, my eyes gravitated towards her. She was wearing a gorgeous red evening gown cut just low enough to know that you were missing something, but high enough to still be slightly conservative. The dress also had a slit that ran all the way up her gorgeous legs, though I hadn't noticed it until she cocked her hip the way I noticed she does when she's getting restless. That dress looked like it was made for her. It fit her like a glove.

Her legs and ass looked perfect in those stiletto heels and I decided right then and there I would make her leave them on while I fucked her later. I could just imagine those heels digging into my back as I fucked her against the wall. I shook my head; this thought process was not getting me anywhere. I needed to fuck her and get her out of my system and I needed to start now I thought as I walked across the room heading towards her. Lucky for me, she was stuck in a conversation with a former associate of mine.

I slipped into the conversation behind her so she didn't even see me coming, but Mac did. "Hey, Reese. I'd been hoping I'd run into you," he said. "I was just telling Serena of a new business proposal we'd like for the bank to fund. I thought it was something you might be interested in getting into on the ground floor."

I couldn't be luckier right now. I noticed a brief look at irritation on Serena's face before she plastered her smile back on. "Absolutely Mac, what were you thinking?"

He started at the beginning and took about ten minutes to pitch his deal to Serena and I. It sounded like a good idea and was something that I would really be interested in using to diversify my business, but honestly I couldn't care less about that right now.

The way she stood there, twirling a strand of golden blonde hair between her fingers, was making me hard. Serena mentioned that she would like to see some numbers, but she liked the idea and would be happy to take a look at a full proposal, with that being said, she excused herself. I took the opportunity to tell Mac to call my assistant to set up a more formal meeting next week and excused myself as well claiming to need another refill.

I caught a glimpse of Serena's red dress before she turned down a back hallway and I decided to follow her. No harm in pushing my luck tonight, I guess.

When I turned the corner, she was standing there, arms crossed, hip cocked, dress parted, sexy as hell, as if she were waiting for me. "You aren't going to let this go, are you?" she asked, trying but failing to sound annoyed.

I took her arms from their resting place and intertwined our fingers, putting my lips to her ear. "Why would I let it go when you're just about to give in?" I stepped back to see her reaction.

I saw the briefest hint of a smile cross her lips before she turned her features more serious. "Reese, us together, even for one night is a terrible idea. I don't doubt it would be great, ya know, being with you, but you have to understand, this is my career. I've worked really hard to gain respect in my field, this bank especially. It was a boys club before I came along, you know just as well as I do that it still can be at times. If anyone found out, god, I don't even want to think about it." She sighed loudly but stepped closer.

"If you're worried about someone finding out, don't. I have no doubt we can both be discreet."

She stepped away and I could tell the moment was over. She straightened slightly and said, "I'm sorry Reese, the answer is no." With that, she turned on her heel and walked back down the hall. Leaving me with a smile on my face, because I knew she was starting to cave.
