When I woke up to light streaming in from the window, I rolled over expecting to feel Serena's warm body. However, I was sorely disappointed when I was met with an empty bed. I sat up and looked at the floor, noticing her dress and heels were gone. She'd left in the middle of the night without so much as a word.

This bothered me and I had no idea why. How many times had I done the same thing? I sighed but decided to get over it. This was what I had said I wanted, some fun. I should feel pleased she left before things got awkward. She clearly wouldn't be expecting more, that should make me ecstatic, but for some reason, I felt hurt.

Damn it, who was this woman and what was she doing to me? First, I fuck her, then, she leaves and I'm here moping about it. No, that's not me. I decided to get up and hit the gym. Nothing like a nice long run to take my mind off things.

After a five mile run and an hour lifting weights, I still couldn't get her off my mind and I didn't know why. Maybe, it was because I had given her three fucking orgasms and didn't even get a thank you in return. Maybe, it was because I felt blown off for the first time. Maybe, it was because her ass and tits were perfect. Yeah, that was probably it. She was just hot, that's all. I didn't have much time to worry about it though, I had a charity auction to attend.

Charity auctions were my least favorite thing to do. I considered blowing it off, but it was my sister's foundation and so I went. I arrived late and immediately headed to the bar, but Chelsea intercepted me. "Big brother, I'm so glad you're here. I need you to handle mom, she's already driving me crazy."

"Sure, Chels, lead the way." My baby sister was perfect, but our mom would never see her that way. Chels turned down a spot helping me run the family business, which was basically a sin in my mother's eyes." My mother could never understand why Chels would want to dedicate her life to helping foundations raise money instead of helping me raise the family net worth.

Just before reaching my mom, I caught a hint of golden blonde hair out of the corner of my eye. She laughed and I couldn't believe my luck. She hadn't seen me yet and I decided to see how long it took her to notice me.

I walked over to my mom and kissed her hello. "Reese sweetheart, no date tonight?" She raised a perfectly manicured eyebrow at me. "Oh, ya know mom, thought I'd try something different. Change things up." She shook her head, "Well, good. You can keep me company while your sister works the room."

I lead my mom around the silent auction tables, careful to stay out of Serena's line of vision, but heading towards her. I watched her as my mom droned on about the lack of creativity of the auction items. It didn't take her long to notice me and idly I wondered if we were really that in tune.

The minute our eyes met I smiled a knowing smile telling her I'd been watching. I patted my mom's hand on my arm. "Mom, there's someone I'd like you to meet." We started towards Serena, she hesitated just a minute before excusing herself from what I assumed to be her date. He wasn't awful looking, I'll admit, but I knew there's wasn't a chance in hell he could make her cum like I did.

"Serena, so lovely to see you again. This is my mother, Margaret Logan. Mom, this is Serena. She's the CFO of the bank we use at the company." Serena's smile faltered briefly before she plastered it back on and shook my mother's hand. "So nice to meet you, Mrs. Logan."

Serena looked at a loss for words and I was enjoying her discomfort. Unfortunately for me, my mom saw one of her friends across the room and excused herself.

"Well, Ms. James, this is quite the pleasure, twice in one day." She scowled, dropping her fake smile. "What are you doing here?" She seethed. Clearly, she was caught off guard. I smiled bigger, "My sister is involved with this charity. What about you?"

She ignored my question. "Did you know I would be attending tonight?" Her eyes narrowed awaiting my response. "Of course not, this is a happy coincidence." She could think what she wanted. Just then, she took a step closer and frowned for a second. I had an overwhelming urge to make her feel better.

Grabbing her hand and rubbing my thumb across the knuckles, I said, "Beautiful, last night was fantastic, but I'm not a stalker. However, I can't say you wouldn't deserve it for shady bouncing up out my house this morning."

She laughed, " You did not just say that." Shaking her head she turned serious, "You said it yourself Reese, it was just a night of fun. That's what you were looking for, and that's what we had. I didn't feel like that included an awkward morning encounter. Last night was incredible for me too, but we decided on one night and that's all it will be." She seemed resolute. She was feisty as hell and it just made me want her more. Who the hell was I?

She took my silence as an opportunity to continue. "Now I have to get back to my date, I assume we can keep things professional as promised?" I was honestly a little stunned so I just nodded. I really wasn't used to being turned down. She seemed satisfied and all I could do was watch her ass sway as she walked away and back to her "date".
