Shoto and I opened the door to our father's office and walked up to the front desk. After getting some things cleared, we hopped onto the elevator and waited as it climbed up to our dad's office.

"Shoto, Yuki, I have been waiting for you," Endeavor said.

I glared at him.

"You two have finally decided to go down the path of the mighty," he continued.

"I'm not following the path you took," Shoto said. "I'm taking my own path,"

"Yuki, didn't I tell you to keep your hair up or short?" dad asked as he turned to me.

"Some kid in my class said it's cuter this way," I replied coldly. "Besides, I actually like it,"

Shoto shot me a glance but said nothing.

"Get ready," dad said. "We're going out for patrol,"

As soon as we left the building, dad started to walk super fast. I groaned as I trotted to keep up with him. "Also, keep an eye out for Stain," he said as he walked briskly with an angry expression. Little children cowered as he walked past them, and their parents looked at us with pity.

That's how it was for about three days before anything interesting actually happened.

We were on patrol when there was a really loud commotion in the middle of Hosu. He had told us to follow him. Shoto and I were practically jogging to keep up with him. Shoto's phone dinged, and he turned it on to see that Midoriya had texted him. Okay no, scratch that. Midoriya had sent him a location with no other explanation.

"Dad, meet us here when you're done," he said. He grabbed my wrist. "And bring some back up too,"

We ran down the streets and turned into a dark alleyway. No one had noticed us. Iida lay on the ground, Midoriya in an awkward crouched position. A serrated katana was next to Iida's face, and Midoriya was yelling "STOP IT, GOD DAMN IT STOP!"

Shoto and I sent a column of flame at the man. I recognized him immediately, with his swift movements, many knives, and red bandana.

Stain.

"Midoriya, next time you send me a location, say something with it," Shoto said. "I was late because of it,"

"You guys too?" Iida asked frustrated.

"Wait Todoroki uh... both of you are using your fire!" Midoriya said.

"Why, huh?" I asked. "I guess that's our line,"

"You mass-sent your location to all your contacts," Shoto said. "You're not the person to do that, so I figured you were saying 'get backup, I'm in a pinch' or something,"

"The pros will be coming soon," I added.

I sent a barrage of flames at Stain as Shoto blocked our classmates and the one pro-hero on the scene with a wall of ice.

"I won't let your ass kill them, Hero Killer," Shoto said as he somehow got everyone behind him.

"Don't show him blood!" Midoriya said. "His quirk activates by orally ingesting blood, that's how we all got taken down!" he explained.

"So that's why he had a whole bunch of blades on him?" Shoto asked. "Guess I'll have to keep my distance," A knife flew at him, and grazed Shoto. I shot shards of ice at Stain, who dodged them all easily. Stain reached out his abnormally long tongue as he flew past. Shoto's left side exploded in embers, and he slid away as Stain bounced up the walls.

"Interesting..." Stain said as he sprinted towards me. I jumped over him hurdle-style and grabbed his wrist.

"Watch out!" Midoriya yelled as Stain reached for a dagger on his belt with his free hand. I smirked an I flipped the nose-less man over my head.

"Oi, Stain," I looked into his evil, villainous eyes. "Don't touch them,"

"You guys aren't real heroes!" Stain yelled as he ran at me with a survival knife. I jumped to one side and kicked his shins as he drove the knife into my left arm. I let out a yelp before grabbing his wrist and twisting it. The bloodstained knife clattered to the ground.

"Grab it!" I yelled as I froze Stain's tongue. Shoto reached out and grabbed the handle. Stain smiled oddly, partly because his tongue was a block of ice.

"Todoroki, get down!" Midoriya yelled. I ducked as he flew over me and crashed into a wall.

And that's when I found that I was frozen in place.
