Okay so before we start, look at this frame from the manga. Behind Hagakure, there's a headless person with a hand where Todoroki sits.

HORIKOSHI I NEED AN EXPLANATION

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Midnight waltzed into the classroom, a smile on her face. "Hey guys! I'm here to help you pick hero names for your internships!"
Mr. Aizawa sat down on the ground and zipped up his mustard yellow sleeping bag. "As long as you all pick appropriate names by the end of class, I don't care,"
We were all passed out white boards and a marker. Aoyama got up right away, and walked to the front of the class. "I am the shining hero... I CAN NOT STOP TWINKLING!"
I blinked. What the hell of a name was that?
"I think it'd be better if you took out the 'I' and changed 'can not' to 'can't'," Midnight suggested.
"Merci, I love it, Madamosielle," Aoyama said.
"Can't you stick to Japanese?" Kaminari grumbled as he played with Ojiro's tail. I bit my lip, a sudden feeling of longing filling me.
After Ashido came up with 'Alien Queen' and it got turned down, we all just started getting nervous. Asui walked up to the front.
"I'm the rainy season hero, Froppy!" she said.
"That's a cute name," Midnight said. "I like it,"
The class started cheering for her. I leaned back in my chair and twisted my hair.
Each of my classmates went up, one by one. We had people with such 'creativity'- Yaoyorozu went with 'Creati', Hagakure with 'Invisible Girl', and Sato with 'Sugar Man'.
"Sturdy hero, Red Riot!" Kirishima said.
"You are paying a tribute to the chivilarious hero Crimson Riot, right?" Midnight asked. Kirishima nodded. "It comes with great responsibility
"I'll live up to it," Kirishima said.
So it followed- 'Earphone Jack' for Jiro, 'Grape Juice' for Mineta, 'Tentacole' from Shoji.
I groaned. Everyone so far had pretty cringy names. The only one I actually liked was Tokoyami's 'Tsukuyomi'.
"King Explosion Murder," Bakugo said.
"That's too violent," Midnight replied.
"WHAT?!" Bakugo asked, pissed off.
"You should be Explosion Boy!" Kirishima said laughing.
"SHUT UP, SPIKY HAIR!" Bakugo yelled. Uraraka went up as Bakugo was half-dragged to his seat.
"Uravity," she said.
"I like it, it has a nice ring to it," Midnight said. "So now we're waiting on Iida, both Todorokis, and Iida, plus Ashido and Bakugo with different names,"
Ashido went with 'Pinky'. I think it fit her well.
I put my marker down on the board for the first time.
"Shoto," my brother said.
"Are you fine using your first name?" Midnight asked. He nodded. It took a lot to shake my brother, one comment wouldn't make him change it.
I wrote the characters on my paper.
"Iida, are you fine with using your first name too?" Midnight asked. Iida nodded. I wondered what had happened. Iida had suddenly lost all confidence in being a hero.
I took a deep breath and walked up to the front of the classroom.
"Gelida Ignis," I said. "It's Latin for frozen fire,"
"Dang, it's Latin," Kirishima said.
"Fancy," Midnight said.
Midoriya went up, looking confident. His board read 'Deku'.
"Midoriya, are you sure?" Uraraka asked. Midoriya nodded.
"It used to mean useless and stupid, but now, to me, it means hope," Midoriya explained. "And that's what I want everyone to feel... hopeful"
Bakugo returned to the front. "Lord Explosion Murder,"
"That's basically the same thing," Midnight said, looking slightly annoyed.
The bell rang, signalling the end of the period. Midnight left with a happy wave.
"That was a cool name, Yuki," Shoto said. "I didn't know you knew Latin,"
"I learned it at that prep school I went to," I replied. "You know, you really should learn close combat too... then maybe you'd have been able to come with me,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Dad, please?" I asked him. "I'll work harder if you want me to, just let me go to an actual school!"

"Prove it that you've been getting stronger then," he had told me. Shoto was sitting in the corner, rubbing his sore legs. He watched me expectantly.

"Fine," I said. I walked up to him and froze the door shut as I covered the room in a layer of frost. Dad reached out and grabbed my wrist and tried to fling me across the room. I grabbed his wrist and used the momentum to slam him onto the ground. Shoto's eyes widened as dad bounced on the floor. "There. I proved you," I replied, dusting myself off. "Now you have to sign the form,"

Dad reluctantly got off the floor and signed my paper while I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Don't make me regret this, Yuki,"
