Jennie's P.O.V.
"So, I'm over him", I said, showing a wide, proud grin. "He's a jerk, and plus, he has a girlfriend that is one of my closest friends. I don't want to hurt her, and most importantly I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing and hurt myself."
"Uh-huh", Jisoo approved, as if she was sick of hearing the same story over and over again. "What make-up are you gonna put on for the Halloween party? We're almost at my house and it starts in a few hours, so we should start thinking."
"Jisoo, seriously?! You think of make-up when I was just telling you something important?!" I burst. "You hate him, so I thought you'd be happy to hear this."
"I do like to hear it", she agreed. "But in the same time, I like it when it's honest. I know you're not fully over him, Jennie. You never are. You say you are but you aren't. And I understand you, he's one of the 'hottest' guys in our year, and his ignorant attitude are something girls find weirdly attractive, but...he's not for you. You're so smart, nice and pretty, and he...he just doesn't deserve you. I'd rather he sticks with someone like Sana. Or Tzuyu - she's clearly his next option. Why don't you just date someone like...I don't know...Taeyong?"
"TAEYONG?!" I exclaimed, not believing my best friend was acting so stupid. "You know Taeyong is fucking creepy. He used to be so friendly, I could even say he was my closest male friend! But he fell for me, I rejected him, and it all changed. I can't even say hi to him, it's just so damn awkward - he starts getting his hopes up and I don't understand why. Haven't I been obvious enough?! I just don't-"
I would've continued, but I just sighed and stayed silent instead. I pouted. I didn't understand why Jisoo couldn't believe that I was over Yoongi - he hurt me, I realized that, and I left the thought of being in love with him. What's so hard to believe?!
We got in front of Jisoo's house, and went in, ready to prepare our clothing and make-up for the following Halloween night party.
