Jennie's P.O.V.
"Hey!" Sana exclaimed as Momo and I walked onto the basketball court in Dongdaemun district. "Momo and Jennie are here!"
I spotted Yoongi playing with his team. Jimin tripped over Jungkook - well, more like he pushed him playfully, but let's say he tripped - and they fell on the court's ground, trying to pull the basketball out of each other's hands. Jimin put Jungkook to the ground and gripped onto the ball with his fingers, while Jungkook was using all of his force to survive.
"Foul!" he shouted. "Fucking foul!"
"You idiots", Yoongi said sharply, "the game is over. I called it. Take a break from being babies, will you?"
I realized I had actually never seen Yoongi have a go at his friends. He always respected them, spent time with them, and put them before any girl. Which was really impressive most of the time, but could also become offensive when he defended their wrong points in front of his fucking girlfriend.
He turned his back on them, approaching me and Momo at the entrance door. They stayed untouched for a few moments as they listened to him with wide eyes, but went back to fighting in the spirit of little kids when he turned around to us.
"Hi, Momo", he said, and smiled. "Hi, Jennie."
His voice went deeper as he said "hi, Jennie", as if he caught a flu right that moment. He scratched his nape nervously with a hand while holding the basketball in the other one, and looked at the ground with a slightly embarrassed smile, seeming as if he had run out of things to say to me. I bit my lip trying not to smile back, but I think I failed at that. I remembered hearing Irene say that his smile was ugly, but it made me feel warm inside, and feel all the love approach me. Aw, how cute this jerk can be, I thought.
He turned around and looked right at Sana. She nodded as if she had taken a signal, and called Momo.
"Momo!" she shouted. "Come here! NOW! Faster!"
She ran all the way to Sana and they slowly walked away, though not too far from the basketball court.
"Yoongi, can we just end the practice for today?" Taehyung whined right as Yoongi opened his mouth to tell me something. "I'm tired. Let's just stop."
"Yeah, bro", Hoseok approved. "I'm sweating lakes, like a fucking pig. I wanna change and chill around."
"Alright", Yoongi approved, and sighed. "Damn, you all can be really tiring sometimes!"
The boys took of their shirts and put them on their shoulders as they headed out of the court drinking water and giving each other high-fives. I looked at Yoongi insistently, trying not to get any more glances of his friends shirtless so I don't drool like a dumbass.
"We should go too", Yoongi said. "We don't wanna stay behind, do we?"
I smiled and nodded, not even knowing how to complete this awkward conversation with anything.
After the boys were done putting their street clothes on, we left the court area, and walked around the crowded streets. Yoongi and I stood behind everyone as they walked around Dongdaemun district.
"We didn't talk a lot since...you know..." he began.
"Yeah, I know", I approved, and sighed as I put my hands in the pockets of my black and white jacket. The weather was very cold. The snow around us was fresh, and the air so chilly that I could see my breath in the air like smoke. It was barely December, but we already had heavy snow and rain days. I didn't have any gloves, but I didn't mind - it was a beautiful evening.
The lights shining around me were delightful, and they made me feel even better about where I was. I was with my dearest people, and that was all that mattered.
"Look, Jennie", he continued after a few moments of silence in which God knows what we thought. "I know it has been weird between us. We dated, broke up, then I got a girlfriend, we both suffered, I broke up with her, I kissed you, then we didn't talk for a while and-"
He stopped, closed his eyes in pain, and sighed.
"I'm sorry. I confused you. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Yoongi, it's alright", I said, and smiled awkwardly again. "Trust me, it really is. What happened, was in the past."
"But it was long", he continued. "Don't pretend you're strong and didn't care, cause I know you did, no matter how strong you may be. I played with your feelings, and you can't even imagine how sorry I am, even if I keep saying it. I never meant to break your heart, not even when we broke up last year. I know you took long to get over it. I know it hurt you to see me walk by holding Sana's hand. I saw the sorrow in your eyes. And I was an asshole to ignore it."
"Yoongi, that happened before, now we're-"
"Don't keep acting like you don't care, Jennie!"
We had a moment of silence, in which we both looked at each other. My eyes started pouring, and I couldn't tell if it was because of the cold weather or the feelings overwhelming me, but I knew it didn't feel far from good.
He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him, looking into my eyes with even more depth.
"I broke up with Sana because I didn't want to hurt her either."
"Why would you have hurt her? You already hurt her enough by breaking up with her so suddenly and briefly."
"Because it would've been worse if she knew I had feelings for another girl while dating her."
"And that girl is?..."
"You, Jennie."
I widened my eyes as they poured more without me even realizing. I didn't have make-up on, so thank God my mascara wasn't affected, but I was still so shocked, till that shock turned into extreme happiness. My insides were literally going crazy, throwing a party.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!"
I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist as he kissed my lips. That very moment, nothing mattered anymore - just me, him, and our love.
As everyone else said, we were meant to be together.
He loved me.
I loved him.
We loved each other.
And we were finally back together after half a year of suffering.
Min Yoongi...I fucking love him.
