The evening rays penetrated through the glass windows, and finally fell on my face. Looking outside, made my heart flutter with joy. I slowly closed my eyes letting the warmth spread on my face.

"Good evening Mrs. Payne. I was coming here to ask if I could leave early today. "

"Sure Dorothy. Have a safe ride home. ", I said.

I should get  home too. It's already five and I have finished with everything. I could probably go to the park today, seeing that the weather is so beautiful.

Packing up my stuff and switching off the electricals, I locked the door. I should ask Liam as well. I mean, he's technically still my boss. I lightly knocked on his door and waited.

"Come in. ", came a voice.

"Hey. I was wondering if it was okay to leave early today. I've finished with everything."

"Good. I actually was going to tell you to go home and get dressed. We have a charity function to attend. "

"Ugh, seriously? Why can't Miss. I'm-so-perfect , go? I mean, she can be of some use, right? ", I rolled my eyes.

"Ashley ", he warned.

"Fine, fine. ", I said and closed the door.
There drowned all my hopes of enjoying the weather.

I walked out of the front door and made my way to the car.

"Took you long enough. ", a familiar voice said.

"How did you- Where's George? ", I was shocked.

"I told him to take the day off. I'm driving, so get in fast. ", here came the old arrogant Liam again. I shook my head and sat down grumpily.

It took us twenty minutes.

"Wear something decent. " , he said opening the front door.

"Aye aye captain! ", I said dramatically.

He rolled his eyes and went forward leaving me again.

"Liam!! ", Bella screeched while I, Liam and Abigail, who was holding water, cringed and her tone.
She came down and hugged him, while I averted my eyes feeling a familiar pain. I could hear a few mumbles and 'I missed you' s.

Trying not to feel, I too screeched a name. Not Liam's of course.

"ABIGAIL!", I ran towards her and hugged her while swirling around.

I could already feel the disgusted looks Bella must be giving me.

"Here's your water, Ashley. ", she said laughing.
By the time I finished drinking, they were already upstairs.
As I passed Liam's room I could distinctly hear an argument.
"But why can't I go?! You're my fiance! ", she yelled.
Could this girl be more dramatic?
I didn't want to eavesdrop, so I just left.
After a long ass shower, I got out and patted myself dry.

"I think I specifically asked you to hurry up. ", came a voice and I whipped my head in that direction.

"OH my gosh! What on earth? ", I covered my somewhat bare chest, "here's an advice, knock before you enter! "

"Why aren't you ready yet? "

"Why the hell are you inside my room? "

"Its my house. I can be where ever I want to be. "
