We Slowly Fall Into Nothing

(FLUG'S P.O.V)

I continued to stress over the next deadline. I felt beads of sweat drip down my face, the invention was a prototype and I knew if it wasn't perfect at first, then Blackhat would kill me. The only sounds to be heard was the wind blowing past me and metal clinging together.

At that very moment, I heard a thump, I slowly turn my head towards the noise, my mind was racing as I thought of the possibilities, what if it were a hero coming to finally kill the one who built Blackhat Org.? I stopped when I heard quiet scratching.

...

There was nothing. I sighed as relief washed over me. I began to work on the invention once more. The silence making me feel at home and calm, my eyes were drooping as I took in the absence of sound.

... More silence was flowing in...

Ungodly screeching began as I felt the walls begin to shake along with the screaming, I shut my eyes and covered my ears under the bag, all I know is my body was quickly losing control as if it were an animal falling limp.

"LET ME IN!"

I heard the voice scream out for help, it was a female voice, I could hear her choking on her own tears as she banged harshly on the metal door.

Suddenly I was in the room that had multiple planes in line, one plane had people rushing to get in, I heard their voices buzz in a panicked manner.

"I DON'T WANNA DIE, PLEASE LET ME IN!"

The females screams were becoming less audible, I couldn't make out what she was saying.

"IT'S... HELP!... YOU... PLEA-"

She went silent, soon enough I heard her breath quicken, she began screaming once more as I heard terrible crunching noises...

"MOMMY!"

I broke.

I started to bang onto the metal door, rusty flakes getting caught on my hands or just falling down.

"Can you hear me? Tell me what's going on out there?!"

I heard the little girls sobs;

"MOMMY WON'T WAKE UP! SOMETHING'S COMING! HELP ME!"

She hiccuped as she started kicking on the door.

A noise rang through the campus, the noise of an ungodly creature.

"MOMMY, WAKE UP, PLEASE... I don't want the thing to take you..."

Her voice was a whisper... Then crunching began to be heard as sobs echoed through my mind.

Claws began to split the door open and I turned as fast as I could, almost tripping, I pushed and shoved through a crowd of people who were rushing to get in the plane, as soon as I was in I slammed the door.

I started the plane and took off, I didn't care if there were no gas containers in the back, I just needed to live... Heh, funny how us humans will do anything to live another day in hell, us humans are piranhas while life is the prey, we fight for any chance we get, some of the group leave to show themselves they aren't worthless or to be the last standing. Either way, we are dangerous mentally, and in some cases physically.

I heard the engine's go out as I heard the ear-splitting sound of the plane falling down into a void of nothing.

This was it I was dead.

I could never be loved, I will never be remembered... I will be nothing, except a bad memory of a traitor, of a freak, and of a heartless monster.

I am nothing to this world...

"Flug! Wake up!"

What?

"Is he dead?"

"Of course not you idiot!"

Blackhat, Demencia? Is that you?

"Wake up!"

My eyes shot open at that moment, my heart was beating a million miles per hour, what happened?

"You fell asleep, silly!" Demencia said, as if she'd read my mind, she still had her elbow jabbed in my side;

"Can you, maybe, I don't know, get your elbow out of my side!"

"Why? You might fall asleep again!" The girl said with a smirk, how did I not suspect her to fight me?

"Anyways, were you just talking to yourself to make the little stunk you pulled more realistic?"

"No, she wasn't. Now, do you mind explaining to me why you were sleeping?"

I gulped;
