walking home was nice and peaceful, the autumn wind making your hair flow in a messy way. you were tired and missed your bed, you wanted to wrap yourself up in the blankets and just lay there.

a sudden ring came from your phone, it was kimi nishino. She was a friend of yours in high school and you guys separated ways after she went to kamii university and entered into the medical department.

you pressed yes to answer and put the phone to your cold ear. "hi kimi~" you said, your voice somewhat shaking from the freezing wind hitting you.

"hi l/n, how are you?"

"good, just kinda cold," you laughed, hoping she'd realize you were being sarcastic.

"well do you wanna meet some where and have dinner with me, i'm sorta hungry."

"yeah, i'd love that. what did you have in mind?"

"maybe curry?"

"sure!" you smiled, it had been a while since you've seen her. and you kinda missed hanging out with her like how you used to, the feeling of nostalgia hit you. it had been so long since those years, and before you knew it you were going to university, where you then noticed kaneki. "i can't wait to see you kimi~" you said softly.

"same here, l/n." her tone gentle. she gave you the address to the curry restaurant, and then hung up saying to meet soon.

you were over filled with excitement, you couldn't wait to see her, and heading to the curry restaurant and couldn't help but run some of the way. the cold wind hitting you hard, you didn't mind.

when you made it, you saw her waiting outside, she still had short hair. of course on her right side, she had it a little longer than the left.

you walked over to her and gave her a big hug. "i missed you," you whispered and you could hear her soft reply, she missed you as well.

you both let go, breaking the warm hug, and then found a place to sit.

"how's medical school going?" you asked.

"pretty well, i meet someone that goes to your university," she said with a beautiful smile, this man must make her very happy you thought.

"what's his name?" you asked, fully curious.

"it's nishio, nishiki."

"oh alright~" you smirked at her, "how long?" you asked.

"wha- how long what?"

"how long have you been dating him?"

"oh, for a while now. he's such a nice guy, and he's helped me through so much with what happened in the plane crash."

"i see, well i'm glad he's taking care of you."

after eating and talking about how things were going in school and life in general you both said your goodbyes and left.

you were heading home, thinking about what it would be like to have a boyfriend. you never had one, and at the moment weren't interested, but you really wondered what it would feel like.

you guess all this started since kimi was talking all about her boyfriend, nishiki almost the whole time.

she even showed you a picture of him and her together, yet he didn't seem very happy about it from his expression. it had made you laugh, and kimi laughed about it with you. you were happy she had found someone to take care of her.

then all the sudden you realized that kimi's boyfriend was the one person who hide had been talking to for a while, you saw the two working on something together a while ago.

maybe kaneki knew him as well . . .
