music - we've never met but we can have a coffee or something

-

"really?!" hide's eyes widened, a huge smile spread across his face. so bright, like an angel.

"well . . . yes really," you said messing with your fingers, you were kinda embarrassed by his expression and reaction.

"that's great!" he took your hands,
"i can't wait to work with you. i'll be going now~." he said as he let go.

he then strolled away.

"wait hide!" you shouted as you gripped your handle to your backpack.

"ya?" he shouted back at you since you were too far away to use your normal tone of voice.

"can i get your number?" you asked, hoping that it would be of good use.

"i'll tell you it after classes are over, meet me by the benches." he said before running off in a hurry.

"alright!" you yelled, hoping he heard you. you then yourself ran off to class, praying that you would not be late.

classes went by slow as a turtle as usual. boring, but full of listening and note taking. you began to have a headache, wanting to go home immediately. yet as you passed the benches, you remembered you had to meet hide for his number. so you sat at one and waited patiently.

you took the book out from your bag and continued to read the compelling story written right in front of you.

"your into that kind of stuff too?" hide said as he came towards you. you knew what he meant, he was meaning kaneki.

you grinned, "no, but a friend recommended it, so i'm giving it a try." you explained to him.

"oh, i see."

"your number?" you said, it sorta sounded like you were impatient, then again you kinda were since your head was hurting worse.

"right! here." he handed you a little slip of paper. you took it seeing his digits, "thank you."

"no problem, text me soon and i'll give ya a list of what you can volunteer in."

"alright, sounds great." you stood up.

"see ya," hide said before waving and moved in the direction of the university. he must be helping out again this evening as well.

you chuckled at his lively manner, you wish you were that full on energy, but you just weren't.

you then headed home, you went passed anteiku. you glanced up at the window, seeing cousmers enjoy the coffee and sweets. then kaneki appeared to give the two men by the window another cup of coffee. he looked so good in his work outfit. you blushed at the sight, and decided having a quick stop before going home wouldn't be bad. so you pushed your headache away and opened the door to the cafe, the smell of coffee filled your nose.

you sat down, not even minding to get a menu. you already knew what you wanted. so you took out the book once again, wanting so badly to know what would happen next.

you sat there in peace, just consumed by the story, until someone came up to you. you looked up to see kaneki, he seemed rather nervous.

"what would you like to drink?" he asked politely.

"i'll have black coffee," you put your book down slightly, making eye contact with him.

"oh!" he noticed your book you hand in your hands. "you like the book so far?" he asked.

"oh yes, it's very interesting," you smiled at him.

"my friend recently started reading the same book," he said. "it's amazing because she's so little reading such a hard book. she's learning new words by it too, taking notes and everything." he went on about.
