II. RAINY NIGHT

the poring rain had soaked you and kaneki. carrying him back to your apartment was quite a hassle. your body was sore and tired from the long trip. yet relief came over you for making it back in one piece.

you had laid kaneki on your bed and covered him up before going in search for the first aid. his wounds were pretty bad, but you've seen worse on him.

after finding the first aid, you gradded a chair from the kitchen and moved it to the bed side where you could sit and work on his wounds, in which were still bleeding quite a bit.

you worked on him gently and carfully, trying not to make the pain worse for his sleeping body. you also took care of any injuries that needed stitching. once done and putting things back in there place you made a cup of coffee.

sure, going to bed right away would be nice. yet you were too damn worried about kaneki to sleep.

his wounds might reopen if he moves around too much. and you wanted to be there to close them again if that happened.

you watched his chest go up and down over and over again. so many times you almost knew his exact heartbeat without thinking nor counting.

his face was blank, and you got a good look at his eyelashes and other features. "your so handsome kaneki," you whispered as you placed a hand on his cold cheek.

then a sudden moan came from him, you quickly moved your hand away, afraid that is what caused his moan.

a few seconds past and you only stared at his face, making sure he didnt do it again. yet then he opened his eyes and glanced over at you. making eye contact with you, your cheeks began to heat up just a little.

"kaneki . . ." his name escaped your lips.

"y/n !" he shot up and pulled you into an embrace. your heart raced and eyes swelled up.

here he was, finally awake and giving you a hug of a life time. and all you wanted to do was cry, and he let you. tears slid down your red cheeks and the embrace tightened.

a pair of lips met your neck, and moved to your cheeks and he let you go before then meeting your lips.

he felt so good, his lips moved in sync with yours. the two of you wrapped your arms around eachother, the kiss deepening.

it became so hard to breath soon, that the both of you had to separate for a second. you looked kaneki in the eyes, seeing him like this at night made you feel so alive.

he pushed you onto the bed with him, and keep his arms around you. the atmosphere began to make you both sleepy, in which deciding to stop for the night.

you and him in the blanket, as close as possible, hugging tight as if you were afraid of letting go.
