Talentless. Boring. Nothing. That's all Hajime was. That's all he'd ever be.
He stared outside the window of the reserve course. The boy had been lucky enough to get a seat in the back row by the window. Or was it bad luck?
He was able to stare endlessly at the school he admired the most. But the placing also gave him longing. Longing to be in the main department. Longing to have talent. Longing to be confident in his self for once. All of which would never seem to happen.
Hajime was able to watch the main course students leave Hopes Peak and return to their dorms early.
There was one group he'd see often. A pink haired girl playing a video game, completely unaware of the world around her. Another girl with long blond hair, who'd talk and lock arms with a boy wearing a purple hamster filled scarf. A girl in a kimono talking and taking pictures with a red-haired girl, the two seemed inseparable. Aside from them, there was a strong man wearing a blue jacket, Hajime could've sworn he'd seen lightning coming out of his eyes before. The guy was followed by a dark-skinned girl with chestnut hair, occasionally playfully punching each other and laughing.
A pink haired mechanic would watch the blond haired girl and boy with hamsters jealously while a boy with cloud-like hair calmly seemed to give the other reassurance. Behind them was a shorter boy with a baby face, being closely followed by a young woman with two silver braids.
Way ahead of the group was an obese man with long hair, furiously animation on a portable tablet.
More towards that back was a timid girl with choppy purple hair, a girl with dyed hair and horns on her head, and what appeared to be a chef, looking at the two pervertedly.
Hajime would watch them with interest, slightly amused by their interactions. He'd observe what he could of their personalities to get an idea of who they were. It wasn't like he had anything else to do after all.
