He originally didn't want to go, but his "soul friend" forced him into it. It was so unbelievably stereotypical, going to a party you'd dread around the holidays.
Everything was so predictable. Somebody had spiked the eggnog, everyone else was in ugly sweaters and getting drunk, cheesy mistletoe scenarios he was glad to not be in seemed to be happening in every corner, and the same unbearable fifteen songs kept repeating.
The host of the dread awful party was a young boy by the name of Makoto Naegi. He didn't once have control of the party despite his efforts, so it took his partner Kyoko Kirigiri to help settle everyone down and keep anything from breaking. It was utter disarray.
The brunette noticed on the opposite side of the room there was a white-haired man with a close-eyed smile, holding a red cup. His eyebrows furrowed in concern at the chaos around him.
He saw no harm in going over to where the man was, he appeared approachable and Hajime figured it was better to talk to someone rather than stand in a corner in silence. He walked over to the other while trying to avoid all the other commotion. The other boy appeared to notice Hajime as he looked up.
As he got closer, he realized he had no clue of how to start a conversation or introduce himself without appearing desperate. Knowing it was too late to go back, he continued on.
"Er, the party sure is chaotic, huh?" he asked the white-haired boy awkwardly while attempting to avoid eye contact
The other smiled sadly, "Its awfully loud, I absolutely hate loud noises and crowded places but I don't want to be rude and leave. Besides, this is the first time I've ever been invited anywhere! So, I don't want to waste the invitation..."
"Ah, I see," Hajime mumbled. The two stood in awkward silence... forever and always...

(then they introduce, ko says he doesn't like noisy places but doesn't wanna leave cuz rude. Haji suggest they go outside they make convo, add in the fact that this is ko's first x mas in 2 years outside of the hospital and this is the first one where he's not alone and so on)
