A young man with spiky brunette hair, look out across the deck of a ship. He was Hajime Hinata, but at the same time, not. He was Izuru Kamakura as well. They had fused after all.

The ultimate hope, Makoto Naegi, had let all of class 77 go on a cruise trip. No real reason other than to test the ability of the boat of course.

Already and the ultimate mechanic, Kazuichi Soda, was getting seasick.

"Ughhh, man, I don't think I can take being on this boat much longer..." the mechanic groaned.

"Toughen up, it isn't even that bad," sneered the ultimate yakuza, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. The other could only make a "hrk" ing noise in response.

Hajime could hear a light chuckle next to him, He turned to see it was Komaeda.

The boy had his hands in his pockets and looked at Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko smiling. He then turned to Hajime, still smiling. "Isn't it wonderful Hinata-kun? Everyone's been able to forgive each other, despite what happened on the island, and they're overall very happy. We're in the future now, the one you all wanted, correct?" he asked.

He nodded in agreement. "It's nice," he put simply. He turned around and propped an arm on the rails, watching the water below. Komaeda joined him. The two watched as the waves crashed against the boat gently.

"You know Hinata-kun, I was a little worried this ship would crash," he said laughing lightly. "But, I'm sure with you and Izuru-san's luck, it won't happen," he beamed cheerfully.

"The chance of this ship sinking was low, to begin with," the brunette said, raising an eyebrow at the other,

Komaeda simply shrugged and smiled, "You never know!"

The ship soon started off, with Kazuichi puking all the way and Mikan worrying about him excessively.

At some point during the trip, Komaeda turned to Hajime, saying he had something to give him. The two went back to facing the ocean before Komaeda took a small bag out of his pocket and handed it to Hajime. "For you, Hinata-kun."

Hajime appeared flattered as he took the gift, smiling in a slightly abashed manner. The small bag contained many fortune cookies, "They're full of hope!" Komaeda added cheerfully.

Hajime rolled his eyes but continued smiling."Did you make them?" he asked curiously.

"Ah, no, I can't cook to save my life!" the other replied, slightly flustered. "They would've been burnt if I made them myself," he insisted.

"Oh, well, thanks Nagito! I really do appreciate it!" Hajime beamed slightly.

Komaeda nodded before looking up at the sky happily. The brunette analyzed the bag, still smiling, before looking up at the sky with the other boy.

It was clear to him that neither knew what the future would hold, no one did. But in a way, that's what was exciting about it. And so, Hajime made a promise to himself.

"Hope or despair... We're all gonna get through this. Together. No matter what the future holds!"
