Nurse Ruthie walked into the room.
"Martha today is your special day. What would you like to wear today? Maybe that red dress?"
"Yes, I'd like that. Did you see Angel leaving my room just now? She told me all about the unbirthday birthday wish."
"Angel?" " I don't know of anyone working here by that name. This is such a large nursing home. Must be someone new that recently got hired."
Breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, orange juice and coffee served in the dining room. After breakfast, everyone went into the meeting room to hear Christmas carols sung by the young children from the neighborhood grammar school.
It was announced that the Birthday Party would be at 2:00 Pm in the West room. Martha had only a few hours left to think of her unbirthday birthday wish. It had to be spectacular. Irene, her best friend at the nursing home sat in a wheelchair next to her.
"Irene, today I'm going to make an unbirthday birthday wish and when it comes true it will knock your socks off."
Irene just smiled and fell asleep in her wheel chair.
