There were so many relatives arriving for the birthday party.  Martha had some trouble keeping straight which were hers.  Some little children were coming up to her calling her Great Grandma.   She smiled at them pretending to remember their names.

Lunch was roast turkey with dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and cranberries.  Martha was seated at a large table with all her relatives.  She was too excited to eat much today.  She was waiting for the birthday cake so she could make her wish.  Everyone would be so surprised.  The waitresses  placed a birthday cake in front of each of the ones that were celebrating a December birthday today.

Martha looked at her cake and smiled.  She tried to count the candles but there were too many.  One of the staff made a joke that they had the fire department on standby.  All at once everyone sang the Happy Birthday song.  Martha was ready to blow out her candles but hesitated a few seconds so she could close her eyes and make her unbirthday birthday wish.  When she opened her eyes, she blew out all the candles on the cake.  The servers came and cut the cake.  Martha received the first piece from her birthday cake.  Then she waited for her unbirthday birthday wish to come true.  She waited and waited but nothing was happening.
