"That sounds a lot like Leo..." I said, sighing. "I'll try and pay you back the favour but I can't with money. I'm in a bit of a tight spot at the moment."
"It's fine. I'll just ask you for something in the future."
And with that we walked into the ship, the door closing up the bottom behind us and the engine humming awake, courtesy of Leo who already seems to have made himself at home.
Now:
Percy POV
For the past couple of hours that we've been travelling through hyperspace, I've interrogated Cyrus on the planet, shouted at Leo for messing with the ship and have spent the past our pacing across the small cabin room. At the moment the planet is overrun by Separatists which explains why Ahsoka is being kept there, but where? The planet is huge. They can't expect me to be able to find them in time...
"Percy, Leo! Buckle up! We have incoming," Cyrus shouts giving us mere seconds to dive into a seat before violently veering to the left. Sounds of approaching ships and lasers get louder and closer before our ship dives down to avoid them.
"Leo, I need you to man the guns. I'm certain you'll be abler to work out how they work. It's four to one but I'm sure you can handle it," Cyrus orders while avoiding the firing.
"Yes Cap'n," comes Leo's swift reply as he unbuckles and disappears down the corridor.
"Cyrus, is there anything I can do?" I ask him but I'm denied.
"From what I've gathered Leo is a lot more compatible with technology than you are so right now," he paused for a second to make a sharp turn," I'm much more comfortable with him gunning the ships down than you. That way we have a slim chance of survival."
"Thanks. Much appreciated."
"Yeah yeah. You focus on finding where they're keeping the girl with your forcy stuff, got that?" he said.
"I'll try. Can't promise anything though."
I stopped talking and tried for the fiftieth time in the past hour, to find Ahsoka. I stopped moving, slowed my breathing down and went into a state of meditation, focusing on everything, and nothing. In other words, the force. The silent, invisible, all-powerful force running through the veins of the universe. Small fluctuations, anything that could be a hint to where Ahsoka is. And... nothing. Just like last time. I didn't feel anything. Until... a sharp jolt shocked me completely. Right through my core causing a huge headache to form. Another one. At first, I couldn't tell if it was just the ship moving or something else. But then the appearance of the force became clearer and an evergrowing presence started forming. It's location - on the surface of the planet.
"Cyrus!" I yelled. "Below, directly below us and slightly to the north!"
"Did you find her?"
"I don't know!" I screamed in both desperation and pain. The headache brought on by the force was growing stronger, and then nothing. I was floating in blackness.
I felt nothing.
There was nothing.
I was surrounded by nothingness.
And then voices, muffled voices started growing clearer till I could make out snippets of them. Dark voices, which were then accompanied by images, the most prominent belonging to a black figure in a black helmet, accompanied by a black cape. On his hips swung a lightsaber, belonging to a sith. He was addressing someone, and I heard my name being mentioned a couple of times and then,
"He shall not escape. Percy Jackson will join us as a Sith, or die."
Then the vision vanished and I was once again greeted by the coldness of nothingness.
After a couple of minutes that felt like an eternity, I heard a voice. This one was warm and full of acceptance. I felt drawn to it and yet wary. This feeling of the force wasn't normal, and yet why did it feel so familiar?
"Percy. Come to me, as it was foretold. Come!"
And then I felt myself being released back into the mortal world. All the sounds of the battle were gone, and when I opened my eyes, we were on the surface of the planet. Cyrus was at the front, pressing buttons and switching of the ship and I could hear Leo trampling down the corridor, making his way back to us.
"Percy! You're awake. I'm pretty sure I landed us where you wanted as there's nothing around for miles save for this mountain rock." Cyrus, noticing my awakening, said. "Is this where Ahsoka is?"
"No," I said and I rushed out of the ship, bumping into Leo on the way eliciting a "Hey" from him. In the background, I could hear Leo asking "What's his problem?" But I wasn't focusing on that. The voice. The feeling from the voice seemed to originate from the rock and I was desperate to find out what it was. I ran towards it and stopped. The surface of the rock was smooth, free from any natural blemishes and what made it even more uncanny where the markings covering what would be a smooth side of the rock.
"Percy, wait for us!" Leo shouted somewhere in the distance.
"You can't just run off like that without us," Cyrus backed him up. I stood there, staring at the rock without answering either of them.
"Wow," Leo said. "Someone has obviously spent a lot of time marking all these symbols out. What do they mean?" He asked me.
"I don't know," I replied.
"What about the rock. Do you know what it is?"
"No."
"Soooo, we battled our way through, risking our lives for some rock that you..."
I stopped listening to him as I felt the force pulsating from the inside with so much force that it felt nauseating.
"Come!" The voice repeated again with urgency and then my body moved on its own. My consciousness once again became aware of the world and as Leo was finishing his rambling...
"Seriously. Why did I even decide to come with you..."
I touched the rock, fueling force energy through my arm and into the massive structure and then suddenly all three of us were propelled back with a huge amount of force and the rock started shining, causing us to shield our eyes. And when the light dimmed, we could once again look upon the rock which, to our surprise, started rotating up. The rumbling grew louder and then it jolted to a stop. Before us was an entrance to a cave.
"Percy, what did you do..?" Leo said in a hushed manner.
"I don't know," I whispered back.
"COME"
"Percy. You heard that right..?" Cyrus questioned me nervously.
"Yes," I replied getting up and offering a hand to me. "That's what I've been following. You couldn't hear it before as you aren't as in tune with the force as I, but now that we are at the source of it, you can hear it."
"So you've been following a voice..." Cyrus trailed off. "It sounds dangerous. You don't even know what it is!"
"No, I don't. But it's about time we found out," I said pulling up Leo and trudging towards the black gateway.
