Alternate Ending

So I've decided to write an alternate ending to this story because I don't really like the original ending. I feel like it was rushed, so I wanted to see what would happen if I changed it. So let me know which one you prefer.

In this one, Angelyn still wrote the letter but instead of her dying, they both live. So this would mean that Kai would never meet Ava and all that but I think Kai and Angelyn deserve a happy ending after all they've been through.

They stood there, Angelyn and Kai, staring at Bonnie who was laying on the ground slowly bleeding out and she watched as Damon slipped away. She knew what was going to happen and she wasn't going to let it happen.

Angelyn turns to look behind her to see Damon running up behind them. She quickly pushed Kai out of the way before jumping away from Damon at the last second. He looks confused as to why his plan didn't work, and Angelyn sees Kai stand up from where she shoved him.

He looks up at her, also confused as to what just happened. Angelyn ignores his look of confusion for now and turned to Damon, "Yeah, if you wanna try that again you won't be breathing." She spoke to him calmly not wanting to show how angry she really was. Angelyn didn't care that Bonnie was still dying or that he was a vampire and could easily kill her.

Damon looks up at her and glares, clearly annoyed at her, "Well, why don't you and that thing over there go away and never come back?" He asks, glaring between the two of them.

Angelyn sees Kai place a hand over his chest, "Hurtful, and where's the fun in that? Besides you're going to need me unless you decide to let Bonnie over there die." He says and gestures over to Bonnie who is laying on the floor.

Damon let's out a sigh and speeds over to her. He bites down on his wrist and feeds Bonnie his blood, healing her. When he is done he looks up at Kai, "Well guess what? I still don't need you. We can figure this out ourselves, so please leave."

Angelyn and Kai share a look, "We could," she start and Kai takes a step forward.

He quickly sends her a smirk before speaking, "But it's much more fun to annoy you." She walks up to him and nods her head.

Damon picks up Bonnie, who is slowly healing now due to the vampire blood that he just has her. He speeds out of the building with Bonnie, leaving Angelyn and Kai alone. For the first time since they got out of the prison world, they don't have to worry about anything, for now at least.

Angelyn looks over to the pool of blood where Bonnie was bleeding and a thought comes to her. Knowing these guys, they're going to want to send them back to a prison world so she summons a flask like they use in chemistry and pour the blood into it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Kai sees what she is doing, "You thinking that they will try to get rid of us?" He leans up against the wall staring at her.

She shrugs, "I don't know, maybe." Angelyn replies putting a lid on the bottle and sticking it in her pocket. "But I'd rather have it on me if they try." She walks up to him and takes his hand, "Because knowing them they wouldn't give us a way out."
