Julia:

"mommy"

I sigh and I roll over in my bed, waking up from the yell of my six year old son. I get up and I throw the blankets off of my side and and I look at the time. 3:00am I groan and go over to his room.

"what's the matter Phoenix?" I whisper and sit on the side of his bed

"when is daddy coming home?" I sigh and play with his light brown hair

"soon" he smiles and puckers his lips.

I smile and give him a kiss "alright. go to sleep. we have a busy day tomorrow" he smiles. I get up and turn off the hallway light

  "mommy wait"  I look over and he smiles

"I love you" I smile and blow a kiss towards him

"i love you too" I close his door lightly.

I tip toe my way towards Deja's room and i see her brown hair all sprawled out and she's peacefully asleep. I smile and crawl back into my bed looking over at the empty space, that was once filled by my husband.
