Julia's POV
June 28th

Today has been a really amazing day. daniel and I have been home all day, so we got to spend time with the kids. we all went out to brunch, since we slept in a little late. we took the kids to the park and they ran their little hearts out. we had just gotten back like an hour ago and I had let phoenix take a nap since he was tired.

"hey, can you wake up phoenix from his nap?" I ask daniel as I cook dinner.

"yeah, deja set the table for your mother" he kisses her head and she picks up the cards they were playing with.

"okay"

she's very mature for a nine year old.

"phoenix wake up, this isn't funny" I hear daniel yell.

I drop the spoon that I was using to stir the tomato soup and I look at deja. I turn off the stove and I run over to deja.

"alright honey, why don't you go next door to Uncle Zach's house?" she nods and grabs her jacket.

I run over to phoenix's room and I see daniel on the phone

"he's barley breathing." he says to the phone which i'm assuming is 911.

"bub" I cry and start to try and feel a pulse, it's so weak.

"daniel!" I cry and I look at him...

Daniels POV

that's the same look she gave me when jonah died.

"i'll just take him" I hang up the phone

"we don't have the car" she looks at me

"i'll run" I say to her.

I pick him up and the blanket is wrapped around him. I look down at him and I see his face is starting to lose color.

"I love you bub" she kisses his forehead and kisses my arm.

"i love you too"

I run out the door and make my way onto the road. I can't lose my son, I can't lose him.

"stay with my buddy" I yell

I feel tears stream down my face and eyes stare at me as I run with my son in my hands.

"move!" I yell to the people that were standing in my way as I almost make it to the hospital.

I run into the doors and everyone's eyes are on me

"m-my son. his heartbeat. is so slow." I breathe

"okay, did you run here sir" she says wheeling me and phoenix back into the ER

"yeah" I sigh and she lightly smiles

"i'm gonna need to ask you to stay out here, he needs to go into surgery right away" she tells me looking at me with big eyes.

a bunch of nurses push me out.
