Julia and Daniel are now both at the hospital, still clueless of what's going on with their six year old son.

It was finally a normal and relaxing day for the seavey family. there was no drama, no family fights, kids were behaving, and an amazing day to be married.

but life just doesn't work out all the time, that's how it is. if it always works out, you're delusional..

daniel and julia are antsy, afraid, confused, and angry. they think to themselves they could've stopped this, they could have helped him. they don't even know if phoenix is dead or alive.

it's raining.

"parents of Phoenix Seavey"

the two rush up to the doctor and look at him with pleading eyes.

"is he okay?"

"what happened?"

they questioned rapidly, almost confusing the doctor

"Phoenix is fine now for the most part. you brought him in just in time" he smiles lightly

"wait, what do you mean for the most part?" julia panics.

"Is there any family heart diseases on either side of your family?" he asks

daniel and julia look at each other, thinking who had a heart disease in their family. both thinking no one did

"I-I don't think anyone di-"

daniel was cut off

"my great uncle had a heart disease called hypertrophic something" she snaps her fingers.

the doctors nods and sighs. the couple intertwines their fingers and squeeze onto each for support.

"Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy"

"it's a heart disease. it's there the muscle of the heart gets to thick and struggles to pump blood. initially killing the patient. 1% of these cases are fatal and do go undetected in check ups." he explained

"with Phoenix, his is fairly new even though he's a very young boy. I seen you have gotten EKG's done in the past which was very good on your side. but he didn't have it then. this disease has almost like a mind of its own, comes whenever it wants. that 1% tend to be young people."

"the first symptom can be, sudden death"

the couple was stunned by all the information that was just thrown on them. their son has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. he could've died.

"well, what do we need to do. to keep him alive?!" daniel almost screams but fixes himself.

"well, we did do surgery to fix the muscle. but he might have a couple surgeries in the future, he will need to be meds his whole life so the muscle doesn't inflame or become to thick again"

the couple nods and lets out a breath, they've been holding in ever since yesterday afternoon.

"can we see him?" julia asks

"yes, but you will need scrubs on to make sure he doesn't contain any outside germs"

the doctor then lead them to his room, but first putting on scrubs.

"he is not awake, we sedated him so his body can heal faster— especially since he is very young"

daniel shakes the doctors hand and they move over to both sides of their hospitalized son.

"hi bubs, it's mommy. we're so glad you're okay" she cries and laughs.

daniel presses a kiss to phoenix hand and forehead multiple times. losing count.

"we love you so much bubba" he whispers.

"I don't ever want to lose you"
