~ chapter 4 "how do we turn"

Emma- how the hell did you find us?
Alec- well..
Emma- where you following us?
Alec- more like I was trying to keep you guys safe.
Emma- safe?
Alec- you went to Vince College and so did Grace, I was a helper there for kids they didn't know how to read, when I saw that you guys had weapons and I wanted to make sure you guys wouldn't actually do something stupid, like Emma did she almost went into a death trap.
Emma- you told me to go in there!
Alec- after you said that you were going to.
Alec- look I wasn't going to steal your stuff, I was helping that way if one of you got hurt I'd help you.
Emma- I mean he's not wrong Grace he did help us.
Alec- right, your the first people I've seen in 24 hours.
Emma- as well for us to, except for the people that we've seen that uh.. died..
Alec- right, the things you've seen it's just the beginning. I noticed that there are things, when I escaped the building I saw these animals. Like there's regular animals and then there's these things. Let's say you mix a lion and Cheetah together, now a lion is strong and yet goes for its prey, cheetahs are fast and they are good at hiding. Now put them together and makes the fastest most strongest animal you'll meet and that will ever be alive. I've seen these animals, these animals are translating from a regular animal into something that we've never seen before. Just like humans, humans aren't what they seem. They have different personalities, like sadness, madness, happiness. All sorts of emotions but the person will age into something that switches into rage. Let's say I was happy, if one of those things killed me I'd be different, I'd change into something else just like a animal, I'd live just like a animal with different emotions.
Grace- why are these things doing this? Is there a cure? What if these things take over the world.
Alec- that's what I'm saying these things are smarter then us they know we're trying to stop this, who ever made this madness they should turn just like the others. These things are turning into more powerful creatures.
Emma- wait a moment! These things your saying they can grow into something like a animal?
Alec- yes, if these Creatures act just like a animal it will grow stronger and be more powerful then what it was before.
Grace- can we stop them?
Alec- more like what can we do to stop them.
Grace- what do you mean?
Alec- these creatures have a high tolerance to sunlight. That's why we didn't see them until sunset, when you came here nothing was there. They were in hiding, dark places like bridge ways, dark halls, trees, houses, anywhere that's dark they will be. Even under ground. These Creatures can survive off anything, the food you eat everyday. The people that have died or will die they will get sick at first and then turn slowly.
Grace- how do you turn..?
Alec- by getting bit. Like I said these things are smart, not to mention they can climb high, there fast, and what ever mixed in with them like an animal or such, they will become just like them and get that part of the animal and it will be mixed in from the body.
Grace- how do we kill them? Is there a way.
Alec- I'm not sure, there all around the world, the sickness is spreaded not only through the bites but throughout the air and water from lakes, rivers, and rain that falls down.
Emma- what about the water bottles?
Alec- well that's if someone put it there 15 minutes ago and you drank it now you would become sick.
Emma- why the water?
Alec- Let's just say creatures are down there to, and they aren't friendly.
Grace- your saying there are sirens down there in the ocean and lakes?!
Alec- I wouldn't be lying.
Emma- how is that possible? No one would be in the lakes or oceans?
Alec- well the fish that were in the ocean or lakes, even a river. That transformation turns them into a Siren, and makes them stronger.
Emma- why would someone do this?
Alec- who knows the people of this world aren't really that great.
Emma- where are these things?
Alec- there in hiding. They don't come out as much as you'd thing.
Grace- well they must be starving..
Alec- ya starving for everything.
Emma- we have to get some where safe, these things won't find us if we're in a house with locked doors.
Alec- that depends on if there's things in that house.
Emma- things..?
Alec- yes things, and im not for it.
GRace- ya lets just be reminded that we're all gonna die.
Alec- we aint gonna die unless your acting like that.
Grace- rude.
Emma- will you to hush im trying to drive, its dark, im frightened, and i have a headache.
Alec- let me drive.
Grace- she wont let anyone drive, ive tried.
Alec - Emma i think your getting tired, its dark and youll fall asleep on the wheel.
Emma- can you just hush, im fine.
Alec- alright.
Grace- told you.
Alec - noticed..
Emma- uh oh...
Alec- What are you getting tired now?
Grace - whats wrong Em?
Emma- were out of gas.. in 3 2 1...
(the truck stops and i bang my hand on the wheel " FUCK!' i open the door and walk to the front opening the front of the truck lid. thinking wow this will do sommething eh.. no. im dumb. i grab one of the wires and put it on the engine, i shocked my self and started to get frusturated, of course i kept going with what i was trying to fix. )
Alec- what is she doing..
Grace- im not sure, is she trying to fix the problem, becuase im pretty sure we cant run on air.
Alec- let me check.
(i hit the engine and sat down on the ground, putting my head on my knees. what am i gonna do with life anymore. youd think im smart and grab gas, but no. i didnt. im dumb as hell, and forgot. i rub my eyes and try to keep my eyes open, as i rub them a hear a voice behind me.)
Alec- your getting tired of this arent you.
Emma-what?
Alec- Emma get up, your not gonna help your self if you just sit there.
Emma- why are you trying to help me i got this.
Alec- you got this?? eh..
Emma- i dont got this..
Alec- right, now stand up and listen to me.
Emma- fine
( i stand up and cross my arms, before he could say a word a growl came from the distance of the woods. we both look at each other and another growl came again, i look at Grace and shes looking at us in a frightened way. )
Alec- what the hell was that..
Grace- guys.. i think you should get in here now.
Emma- more like lets run now.
Grace- thats a better idea.
Alec- yep i agree..
(we run back to the truck and grab our things out of the back, i open the door and grab the map. Grace bumps into me and screams, i grab her and cover her mouth. "shh!" i look over at Alec and he looks at me, i take my hand off her mouth and drag her to Alec.)
Grace- where are we going??
Alec- into the woods, the other half is where the sound came from we cant go that way so we will go the opposite way.
Emma- we cant go in there!
Alec- yes we can, just follow me. you wont get hurt, Alright.
( he grabs my hand and we left the truck in a flash, Grace followed behind us, i could hear the screams of the creatures. we ran so fast that i couldnt catch my breath each second i let it out. i looked forward and kept going, not thinking about anything, i ran as much as i could. Alec ran like he was on crack. we didnt know what we ran from or what is chasing after us. all i know is that what ever it is they can leave us alone. i just wanna close my eyes and make sure its a dream. i found peace for about a second and i hear "stop There!''. i look at Alec and he points at a house in the distance. we run to the house in a hurry, Alec grabs the shotgun and shoots the nob on the door. well damn.. everything and everyone is going to hear that. thanks Alec. i walk into the door and my jaw drops, no ones been here in years im thinking to my self. if id live here i would its pretty fancy.)
Alec- is everyone alright, no scratches.
Grace- well...
Emma- Grace, your marks!
Alec- marks? Emma- Grace got scratched at the collage.. is she okay..
Alec- well shes not turning into anything so of course shes fine. shes survived for almost 2 days. it happens in a snape if your turning.
Grace- thank god, i really dont wanna die here and now.
Emma- well we have to stay here for awhile becuase its pretty comfy.
Grace- is there anything, lights?
Alec- ya, over here.
(alec switches on alight switch and dust flys everywhere as you get the dust off the light. )
Grace- dont know about you guys, but im sleeping on the couch.
Alec- be my guest. im sleeping in a actual bedroom.
Emma- meee to.
Grace- the couch is great.
(she jumps on it and more dust flies into the air, i laugh. what a dumbass. i walk up the stiars and into a small room, not to far from the bathroom how nice. i wont have to walk that far. i throw my stuff to the floor, and shut the door, not knowing it was crack, now im the dumb ass. i take off my shirt and put on a new one i got from Bennies. you know Bennie is a legand for these shirts. as me not noticing that Alec was coming up the stairs i was still striping. kill me.)

Alec POV

(As if i didnt know this house was a piece of shit, it really is, its pretty trashy. i dont know how these girls are going to sleep, i might sit on the roof. i walk up stiars with a bag in my hand filled with the stuff i need, walking down the hall i see a room with the light on must be Emma. i walk up to the door and see her standing there with half her clothes off, should I say something? No... Maybe... All I could do was stare. I stop starring and continue walking down the hall to my room, I open the door and set my stuff down I hear Emma's door open and her feet come walking over to my door.)

Emmas POV

(I walk down the hall to see if Alec was alright and settled in, I was alright. More like that bed wasn't comfy at all. But It was old, it looked pretty cozy. I knock on his door flipping my her behind my ear, he opened the door and gave me a smile. "oh hi" he wasn't very intrigued on what he was looking at. Hm.. Interesting, most boys are all over me. )
Emma- I just wanted to say Thank you for saying me at Bennies store. I guess Bennie knew something was good for me there.
Alec- no problem, next time don't give up, there's something to live for, you know?
Emma- of course! But thank you, Grace is a pain and I can't take care of her on my own.
Alec- Ya, you should get to bed there's no way I'm sleeping tonight so I'll stay up.
Emma- You should try to sleep..
Alec- I'll be fine, goodnight Emma.

(As he shuts the door I frown and the words blurt out)
Emma- Stupid just absolutely stupid Emma what the fuck!
