Chapter 14 "Marry Me.."

(The whole night me and Alec looked up at the stars in silence, he looked at me every second. hed smile and then look back at the stars. id smile back at him and feel better about myself knowing i can sleep with someone whod keep me safe. The morning was bland and still we had very little food. so we are leaving early to find a car and go on to see the city.
Alec is packing up the tents while i go and search around the car for parts or supplies. Ashton is doing who knows what. i looked in the back first and found a phone, cans, a blanket, wire, a bag filled with paper and pencils, and water. THe front seat had 2 packs of gum, a purse and a hand gun. the trunk was filled with tents, bread, lunch meat, and more cans. but that would last 1 month. i pull out all the stuff and stuff it in the bags. we all had 3 bags. we took 12 waters, 15 cans, the cases of bread and 3 packs of lunch meat and put it in my bag Alec took the the wire and hand gun. the paper and pencils i stuffed in my side pocket.
We were all done and Alec grabbed one of the tents. Ashton picked up the other one and we headed off onto the road again. its been 17 hours and 38 minutes since we havent seen the camp. weve been walking for another solid 30 minutes and are feet are aching. )
Ashton- how long is it gonna take to find a care and get the city?
EMma- we will get there.
Ashton- were on a road with no car and our feet are gonna have blisters. are you sure were okay?
Alec- were fi-
(Alec stops and walks forwards. he turns around)
Alec- i hear cows.
Emma- what?
(Me and ashton look at each other while shrugging our shoulders. )
Ashton- well lets go!
(we start to walk again and it was another 10 minutes till we came to a farm, horses and cows were in there very same spot. Alec grins and hops over the fence were the horses stayed. )
Alec- dont just stand there, get over here and get on the horse.
Emma- do you even know how to ride?
(i hop over the fence and then Ashton, i grab a horse gently and pet its mane. I hop onto the horse she gently lean her head back and started to run around the field)
emma- like you said get on the horse.
Alec- i-
Ashton- you better get her.
Alec- i dont think i can.
Ashton- well buddy, she wants to be chased. Youd better get her. but if you not gonna chase her i will.
(Ashton gets on the horse and kicks the side, then Alec jumps on his and chases after Ashton)
Alec- this isnt fair! mine is fat
Emma- be quiet, lets get out of here.
(i turn my horse to the fence and kick her, she starts to run towards the fence and she jumps over it, i look back Alec is stunned.)
EMma- did i mention i owned a farm!
Alec- No!
Ashton- we should probably go.

Alecs POV

(its been hours on the road and the horses were getting tired but after while we finally got to the city. we headed in not know what was gonna happen. emma looked like she was gonna pass out so i handed her my water. but she refused it. her exact words "its for the camp" Like um we have plenty of water. we decided to walk. We saw many stores that were caving in. the first one we came to was a " michaels clothing. " We went inside putting the horses off the side. Emma walks and freezes.)
Emma- whoa, this place is hella empty.
Alec- people probably took everything.
EMma- ohhh theres girl clothes!!
(she sqweeked and did a little dance, she looked adorable when she did that. i walk in and watch her run to the pile of clothes.
ive never seen her so happy, i smile at her and head over to Ashton)
AShton- well shes happy.
Alec- im glad she is
AShton- i know im not the best of a guy, but she needs someone like you. own up to it, we cant survive this mess without her and if we leave and come back home and we dont bring her back what are we gonna tell Grace when we find her?
Alec- we will bring her back, and im gonna find Grace.
Ashton- and what are we gonna do when we find grace. this isnt a game Alec, the world has gone to shit. its time to watch your back. And if you really love her. be there right now tell her that its time to grow up and we need to find Grace. because when we find grace or even get her and shes dead then shes gonna be looking at you. shes gonna count on you. Do this for her Alec, not yourself.
(He walks away and gets on the horse)
Ashton- im gonna go check out where we can find food.
(i nod my head and walk back in the store. Hes right i have to tell her and im not gonna stop this time. i run over to the case filled with rings, and pick a bright shinny blue. i look at it and smile while grabbing a small box. i stuff the ring in the box looking at the ring if this is what god wants my future to be then im ready. I might be stupid and she might disown me but this is what i want. "i need a sign god i need it.."
i look down at the ring and i see a small sparkle of light skinning from on top of the baby blue diamond. i look up at the ceiling and smile "thank you.." i close the box lid and put it in my pocket. i walk out and Ashton is back with a 3 boxes of food, my face fell to the floor. )
Alec- how..?
AShton- its just pain.. Alec its just pain.
(i laugh and i grab the boxes)
Alec- Emma is gonna be stunned.
Emma- i am..
( i turn around and smile.)
Emma- is this real?
Alec- very.
Ashton- oh and another thing, theres a car right over there that runs why dont we go home.
( we hop on the horses emma still standing there . she looks at her horse and smiles. )
Emma- im taking the horse.
Alec- are you sure.
emma- Grace loves horses, and you know this needs a name.
Alec- Gemma
EMma- ya thats perfect.
(she hops onto the horse and kicks the side.)
Emma- lets go home.

(we put our things in the car and let the horses go except for emmas. Ashton took the horse and told us that he wanted emma in the car so we agreed. emma got in the car and i put all the things inside the trunk and the back seats. i got in the car and sat down. "you ready?" i look at her and she looks at me with her green hazel eyes. "I wanna go home.." i start the car and pull out of the road while Ashton following us.
The day was soft and pure and not only that we found food and a car. The only thing we needed was Grace. i promised Emma id find her And im sure i will. "i just need another sign god please.." i mumble and look out the window while Emma looks out her window. i look back at her and her cheeks were bright and smooth. she turns to me and a sudden sparkle came from her eyes. "Thank you." she raises her eyebrows and laughs. "for what" she laughed again and grabs my hand. "no reason." i keep driving and start to feel my cheeks brighten up. i see how everything is now, im gonna make it up to her. i just need her in my life.. if that isnt enough. i grab her hand and stop the car. i look at her and smile stepping out the car looking at Ashton turning with the horse. he gives me a thumbs up and walks ahead of us. i open her door and pull her out of the car.)

Emma- what are you doing? Ashton is gonna get lost..

Alec- You trust me right?

Emma- Of course i do. but Ashto-

Alec- Emma. Hes okay, hes gonna do something for me. while i do something for myself.

Emma- what do you mean?

(i pull her out with the sun setting slowly on her face. she gives me a smile and looks down. "What are you doing" she steps forward and grips onto her shirt. )

(alec- "stop asking questions and listen. i laugh looking up at the sky. "You like the stars right?" i lift her head up and i felt a drop of rain fall on my face. then another and another, it started to poor and she keeps looking up and starts to laugh. i grab her hand and she looks at me again giving me a sparkle in her smile. we got closer and her lips were an inch close to mine. she puts her hand on my cheek and her lips touched mine. then again, and again. i bring my hand up and pull her hair behind her ear. )

Alec- Emma..

Emma- Alec..

Alec- Marry me..
