It was raining and pouring,
you and I sitting in a cafe.
You look at me but there
is nothing left for us to say.You didn't want to leave,
but you couldn't stay.
You went up and left,
I catch you on your way.We walk down streets and
avenues and you hold my hand.
Pointing out the landmarks,
the posters of your favorite band.So far from things that bring pain,
we are lost in a foreign land.
The strands of your hair,
your smile paints a vision so grand. Then I realize it's all a dream,
I want to shout and scream.
Away from this reality I go running,
but I eventually run out of steam.Standing on wet pavements,
I go flow downstream.
Agonizing sorrow, despair
and torment so extreme.I write these words for thee,
Will's poems for Ree.
I make these letters so
you wouldn't have to worry. To relive the past, to turn the clock,
no one ever hears my plea.
To forget I must remember,
to stay still when I want to flee.I shall honor thy wishes,
to live my days in happiness.
I shall always reminisce,
the sound of your sweet caress.Your pure heart full of nothing
but innocent tenderness.
You asked, You made me promise,
and now I will say "Yes".I shall strive to smile like you do,
the way you'd want me to.
To escape, evade and be free
of these feelings so blue.To repaint my world, throw
colors at the grey sky with hue.
To shatter my prison walls,
to break out, to break through. It won't be easy, each day
I feel queasy, but I must.
To believe in you believing in me,
I can't ever break your trust. The universe conspired,
life is unfair, it is never just.
My heart dreads, terrified
to think of you turning into dust.I'll be honest, I don't know
how to end this rhyme.
All I ever wanted was just
a little more of your time. One more second to behold
your beauty sublime.
I guess I don't get to spend
my days with you in this lifetime.
