You looked so healthy and happy,
A vision of pure light and beauty.
You looked so bright and strong,
Why did everything go so wrong.
You were so stalwart and brave,
Your sweet innocence I will save.
Always smiling through the pain,
Shining brightly through the rain.
It wasn't meant to be, you and I.
Now my tears have all run dry.
I'll remember the way you love,
You are my little white dove.
Your smile brings me pure bliss,
Your laughter I will forever miss.
Heaven's closed, and it won't open.
Outside I stand frozen, I'm broken.
If only I could have one moment.
But it's too late, your heart is silent.
I wish that you wrote me a letter,
I will wait here until forever after.
