Mrs. Porter's POV:
After three days of laying around and going everywhere with Nicole and the twins, it was finally time to get some work done. Currently, I was working on a new horror movie. My role was about a vampire that comes year on the same day in his hometown and kills everyone who stands in her way. So basically, I was the bad guy.
Tina, my make-up girl was helping me get ready for the scene. And the most painful thing about getting ready was putting these lens on that hurt really bad, because they were bigger than normal. Luckily, I had to wear them for a short part of shooting before getting them out again.
"Aaand, done." Tina exclaimed while finishing with putting fake teeth on.
"So, where is Nicole?" She wiggled her eyebrows and smirked while saying my wife's name.
"She's spending time with the kids before going back to work."
"Work? I thought she was back for good?"
"She is. I meant her other work."
"Oooh, you mean she's going to be your bodyguard again?"
I remembered the conversation I had with Nicole about her new job offer. It was being the head of security for another also famous actress, Carina Rye. Tina's face was surprised when she heard the name.
"Carina Rye? Wasn't she like, voted for hottest woman alive three times in a row, even though she is pushing through her forties?" I couldn't help but feel jealousy when she pointed out the obvious.
"Yes..." I huffed.
"Doesn't it bother you?"
"Of course it bothers me Tina, but now that I have Mark, Jacob and Ian, I don't think she wants to be with me anymore." While Nicole was in Australia, we had Ian replace her and he is too good at his job. Firing him to put Nicole back would just be mean.
"I see. Don't worry Mrs. Porter, Nicole would never cheat on you. Even though Carina is the hottest thing Hollywood has seen beside you."
"I know. She just loves me too much." It was stupid to be jealous, but come on, Carina Rye? It's like universe is punishing me for something. I just hope Nicole stricts to business part when she takes the job.
"Let's roll!" The director yelled and I got up. Tina patted me on the shoulder with a reauring smile.
...
I came home and heard screams and laughs coming from upstairs.
"Dammit, Audrey, stop running." Nicole's voice echoed through the enormous house.
Audrey was running and laughing while Nicole chased her around with some clothes in her hands. I suppose she was trying to get her dressed and it didn't quite work out.
"Mamma!" Audrey yelled and flew down the stairs right into my arms.
"Hey, Audrey." I kissed her on the forehead and looked at Nicole panting, a thin layer of sweat covering her forehead.
"Hey, love." She pecked me on the lips.
"Yuuuck." Audrey yelled while covering her eyes and both Nicole and I chuckled.
"She is fast, like really. I've been trying to get her dressed all morning."
"Well, you haven't done a great job either." I poked her nerves, knowing she would get upset. I took the clothes from her hand and put Audrey down to get her dressed. The I saw her pointing her tongue at Nicole.
"See? She is a devil, a mini Diane. Meanwhile, Ethan got dressed all by himself and he even brushed his teeth." Then she pointed back at Audrey.
"That's great. Now let's get some breakfast. I've been working all night and I just want to eat and sleep." We walked together towards the kitchen.
After kids left the room, Nicole and I got to talking about her new job offer.
"So, have you spoken to Carina yet?" I asked, playing sloppily with my food.
"Actually, I did. I took the job."
"That's great, sweetie. When do you start?"
"Thursday. She wanted me protecting her as soon as possible." And the jealousy got over me again. Protect her as soon as possible? That doesn't sound right.
"You know, that's what I was thinking when I first saw you." I raised an eyebrow and looked into her blue eyes.
"Oh come on, love. I believe Carina doesn't have those intentions. And even if she does, there's only one woman in the world for me." Nicole took my hand in hers over the table and stroked it.
"I just don't want her to try anything."
"Trust me, even if she did, nothing can stop me from stopping her. Besides, my very jealous, famous wife, would kick her ass as soon as she found out." We laughed together.
"Hey, don't act like you don't have a jealous side too." I teased her.
"Believe me, sometimes I wonder if you are really shooting movies, or just hitting on the extras." I knew she was kidding.
"Asshole!"
