Mrs. Porter's POV:
It was holiday season, and Christmas came around the corner. Our Christmas morning started, of course, with our kids waking us up manically and jumping on the bed making both Nicole and I smile from the joy around our hearts.
"He brought the presents, he brought the presents!" Audrey and Ethan yelled in unision.
"That's great, let's go open them then, Mommy and I are coming, just let us get dressed." They yelled a 'yay' down the hallway.
"Merry Christmas, sweetie." I turned to Nicole and kissed her full mouth.
She hummed in response and smiled softly. "I love waking up like this. Marry Christmas, love." Nicole deepened the kiss and it was about to turn into a steamy make out session, but I stopped her.
"Hey, hey, the presents. Come on." She groaned and jumped out of bed.
The twins already opened half of their presents when we got there and there was so much happiness on their faces seeing all the toys and games they got.
We are old school parents, phones and tablets are a big 'no' for them, and that was something that Nicole and I never fought about.
"Do you like your presents guys?" Nicole sat beside them, next to the big tree that stood proudly in our living room, decorated with red and gold colors.
"There are so much of them." Audrey inhaled deeply to tell that, feeling so excited. My wife and I looked at each other again and laughed, loving our kids.
"Mommy, Mommy, look what Santa brought me." Ethan ran to Nicole to show her a big monster truck I actually picked out for him. He's so clingy to her, but I don't mind it. At least he's not totally isolated.
The blue eyes I love so dearly looked at me with caring in their eyes and I just nodded, pressing my lips together. She knew how I felt about it and she also knew there was nothing we could do about it. He will come around one day, just like Audrey did to Nicole.
"Oh look, this one is for Momma." My daughter snapped me out of my thoughts and handed me a white and green present box with a bow on top.
"Oh, looks like I was a good girl too." I looked at the attractive brunette across the room and she winked at me.
I slowly unwrapped the present, opening the box. My mouth hung open as I saw what it was. I really love this woman.
It was a framed picture of me and Nicole, her standing behind me in the background on the show in New York. It was the night when we, you know... for the first time. I can't believe she found this.
"Look, look! Momma is blushing!" Ethan pointed at me and laughed. Audrey followed him.
"Am not!"
"Are too!" They answered together.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
We bickered for a few seconds until I looked at Nicole who was laughing at us.
This woman could still make me blush, and she knew it. I just adore her.
