Your ex-lover, Changlei.

She was your lover before Jimin and before Yoongi, she was the one who had you devastated for months after the two of you decided it'd be best to break off the relationship when she moved back to Shanghai.

She was one of your best friends in high school, the one who you gave your all to, and seeing her face made you reminisce, bringing some joy onto your face. You must've had thought out loud because her attention was brought to you, and it didn't take her long to instantly recognize you either.

"It's been a long time, (Y/n)." Changlei smiled up at your figure.

"It really has been, Changlei. I was wondering if you'll ever come back." You chuckled, going in for a hug which the young woman returned, letting out a small chuckle as well.

The two of you didn't end off on bad terms. You both knew that you wouldn't be able to deal with a long distance relationship, therefore, you agreed it'd be best for the two of you to split, but you didn't cut off contact right immediately after her departure.

You guys remained best friends, despite your romantic past, but you guys just always had that little spark, just not the kind that would turn into a firework into the future. But that spark ignited even more with Jimin, and that's how you wanted it to stay.

You no longer wanted to date for the sake of being desperate, now you wanted something real with Jimin, and you wanted to wake up next to him every morning and start a family.

Changlei was in the past, and now she's just an acquaintance whom you share beautiful and unforgettable memories with, which you'll forever be grateful for.

"It really has been." Changlei agreed, "I can see you've changed, appearance wise of course, still handsome as ever, but from the looks of it you seem to be the same old dork as back then." She ruffled your hair before turning back to Max who was in need of assistance.

"It's great to see you too, Max, even if we didn't really talk back then." Changlei bowed to her senior as a greeting as well, "Are the two of you together now? or...?"

"Oh no! I'm helping her pick out her dress for her wedding, with another man, not me, someone else." You quickly, yet awkwardly cleared things up to the woman. "I already have someone else in mind.." You mumbled.

"That's great to hear (Y/n), it's nice to hear that you're happy." Changlei beamed. "Anyways.." She lightly shook her head, "The dress you're looking for is in the aisle right over here."

Changlei led you and max through the small shop, Max was all giddy and excited to see her dream dress. Changlei picked the dress out of the rack and handed it to Max who gazed at the dress in awe. It was absolutely perfect, and marvelous.

"Try it on Max." You told her, looking at her with an excited smile. Max giggled, something she only did when she was really excited and skidded off into one of the fitting rooms.

You waited on the outside and just scrolled around in your phone, you felt someone's eyes on you, and looked up and saw that the gaze belonged to you guessed it, Changlei.

"So, who's this special someone you were talking about?" She approached you, "You have that sparkle in your eye, and knowing you, you must really like this person. Therefore, I've grown curious as to whom is making the shy bub (Y/n) so love struck."

"Well, we're not a thing just yet. But we share mutual feelings, we're just waiting a little bit more before.. well going to the next step." You struggled to find your words, gulping hard due to you being nervous speaking to her again after many years.

"I see, believe it or not, I actually almost got married last year, but we ended it up breaking it off." Changlei began sharing her small story.

"Can I ask what happened?" You politely asked, trying not to invade business that she probably would like to keep as private business.

"Couples fight and sometimes make-up, we weren't one of those couples." She disappointedly shrugged, her emotions showing right through.

You gave her a sympathetic hug, knowing what it's like having to separate from a partner who you thought would be your forever, but then turn out to not be, you could literally feel her pain as well.

Max came out of the room, and you quickly let Changlei go, and took in your best friend's appearance. And all you could feel a sudden burst of happiness while seeing her in that dress, and even if you weren't her father, your realized she was no longer a baby, Eun-kyung Maxine Lee was finally a grown woman.

"You look beautiful, Max." You complimented her, literally going soft.

"Your fiancé is very lucky to have you." Changlei admired the dress, "I'll give you guys a discount for this one, it's a little pricey so it's the least I could do."

"Nonononono! I have the money to pay it completely, no discount!" Max insisted, refusing to take the discount, even if we all know that if you, yes you the reader, would take the discount.

"Nonsense, taking it as my wedding gift at least?" Changlei still insisted. "And I won't be taking no as an answer, it's rude to reject presents." She grinned.

"Fine, you win this time. But please let me repay you somehow? Is there anything you would like?" Max offered, feeling guilty of being gifted her wedding dress.

"An invitation to the wedding, I want to see the finished look, and as well as catching up with (Y/n). It's been too long, and it's been a while since I partied. I miss drinking out with my friends from Korea, so I'm kinda in the mood to party." Changlei smirked.

"Then it's a deal, I'll have (Y/n) send you the details later today." Max shook Changlei's hand. "And thank you so much for the dress Changlei, this really means a lot." Max said tearing up.

"Oh my! Sweetheart, are you okay? Why are you crying?" Changlei asked all confused and rushing towards the girl to somewhat comfort her.

"Pregnancy hormones." You bluntly said, announcing the news to her.

"Preggo my eggo." Changlei chuckled, holding the teary eyed woman. It was weird seeing Max acting in such way, and it was sort of comedic to you.

You began walking Max over to the dressing room so you two could finally go, and leaned on the wall once again. And Changlei joined you as well, "So will there be any cute guys there?" She asked with a devilish smile.

"Definitely." You winked.
