CHAPTER FORTY ONE: GROWN UP
____
Minutes passed by and the couple was saying two small words that changes one's future. Family members were in tears, others were taking pictures, while others were just listening to the couple speak. And you, well you stood there tall and proud for your bestie.
You've said it multiple times, and you literally felt like a father, but it felt as if you were the one giving your daughter away to another man to care for her in the new chapter of her life.
Sewoon and Max sealed it off with with a passionate kiss, which then caused the entire audience to begin to cheer. Some of the young kids even managed to sneak in some confetti poppers in.
You looked at Taehyung and Jungkook who were laughing for unknown reasons, causing Jin to smack the two (don't worry, it was out of love). Their gaze was simple to follow, doing so you ended up seeing Sewoon's socks, which were spotted with small giraffes in a bright yellow.
The two 3 year olds were literally about to die from forgetting how to breathe.
How you pitied Namjoon..
The couple walked down the aisle, hand in hand as if they were in some sort of fairytale, which most likely was the way the two felt right in this moment. Which no one could blame them for, no seriously, it's their wedding day, that's like being happy for someone's death at their funeral.

You felt a hand all of sudden grab onto yours, but without even trying it was so simple for you to recognize those cute and soft hands that were addicting to hold, Felix- oops, I meant Jimin, sorry.
"I hope someday that could be us." Jimin muttered in awe as he looked at the new happily wedded husband and wife. Jimin's reaction was adorable, and you just wanted to squish his squishy cheeks. Man, you really are whipped for this man aren't you?
"Well, give me a time, date, place, and I'll make it happen for you, sunshine."
Jimin swore he saw his deceased dog for a moment. He didn't think you heard him or anything, but what caught him even more off guard was your confidence in those words. They really sparked something in him.
He made eye contact with your father, and he remembered how you had once told him that the two of you were the closest. That made Jimin wonder even more about the two of you. It made him want to be an even better boyfriend so your parents could adore him and that day he pops the ring, he'll have his permission granted to court you.
And the church bells rung.
Everyone admired the couple one last time, and watched them exit the church in their little limo as if they were some celebrities. The guests began exiting as well, ready to speed off to the reception for the good food and music.
All it took was a couple of minutes.
-
Everyone was now at the reception, joyously dancing, eating, and socializing with one another. Max and Sewoon, though they had no dancing background of whatsoever, were owning the dance floor as if it owed them some money. At this point it looked as if it was a dance battle between the two instead of a wedding.
You laughed at the two buffoons and averted your eyes to a figure who caught your attention, Changlei. You didn't see her earlier that day so you thought it was safe to assume that she wasn't going to attend. Well, you were wrong.
You were sitting at a table with Hoseok and Jungkook who were busy chit chatting, so to your guess was what convinced Changlei to approach your table as if it was nothing.
You didn't know why, but you could feel your heart begin to race a tiny bit. Could it have been due to your lack of social skills and inability to make eye contact? That'd probably be better.
"Hey (Y/n)!" She greeted, taking a seat right across from your seat.
"Howdy Changlei." You greeted out of common curtesy, taking a sip from your drink hoping to not make any eye contact whatsoever. "How are you enjoying the party at the moment?"
"Pretty well actually!" She chimed. "I met this one guy, and we seemed to hit if off, so I'm hoping he kinda likes me."
"That must be great then, and where is he now? Shouldn't you two be flirting and just getting to know each other?" You asked her and took a look around the party, without even knowing what this guy looked like.
"Yeah, but he went to use the bathroom. So he should be back soon." Changlei stole a look at her watch.
You eyed the bathroom door, curious as to who this man.
"I don't know if you've met him yet or not, I mean you might've since you've been friends with Max and Sewoon for years now. But I dunno, you'll see him in a bit." Changlei went on.
Changlei had changed a bit since she left. She was now more extroverted, and had more confidence, when back in the good old days she was more reserved to herself and only spoke up when she knew she needed to.
Everyone's growing up, wow..
"Are you thinking of asking him out?" You asked her, trying to keep the conversation going so it wouldn't be awkward. "You seem to have taken quite the interest to him."
"Yeah, I actually am thinking about it." She proudly smiled, and it grew even wider when the door swung open.
Jimin?
- so i'm alive, and sorry for the lack of updates i had it all done but it got deleted so i had to rewrite the chapter which was longer, but i shortened it up a tad.
