I woke up to Lacey shaking me awake. I finally gave in and woke up.

"Whaaaaaaaaat!" I groaned.

"C'mon, Y/n!" Lacey scolded, "We have to get down to breakfast!"

"Breakfast is overrated." I said while burying my face in the pillow.

"Get uuuuuuuuup!" Lacey pulled on my feet and I fell out of bed.

"Ow!" I yelled.

"Get dressed!" she demanded and huffed out of the room. I rolled my eyes and and stood up. I walked over to a dresser with neatly folded clothes inside. I pulled out a skirt, stockings, sweater, polo, and a silver and green tie, leaving a mess of jumbled up clothing in the drawers. I pushed it closed and got dressed. It was soooo itchyyyyy. I put on a replica of a robe I saw Lacey wearing and slipped it on. I looked into the mirror. Not so bad.

I ran down the stairs and up into the Entrance Hall (which took a long time due to me taking a wrong turn five times) I spotted Ginny talking to the same big-eyed blonde girl from yesterday. I gathered all my courage, took a breath, and walked over. She soon acknowledged me and to my surprise, gave a small grin.

"Good morning, Y/n." She said pleasantly. I stood there dumbfounded. Not even a glare?

"H-hi, good morning, Ginny." I replied with wide eyes.

"Are you okay? You seem a little shaken." She said.

"Oh! I'm perfectly fine!" I said a little loud. Ginny gave a chuckle.

"You thought we wouldn't like you because you turned out to be a Slytherin, didn't you?"

"I — uh — no!" I stuttered.

"Oh, please. Of course we still like you! We know how you are, 'course, Ron was a bit shaken, but overall, you're still family!"

I gave a huge grin.

"Oh this is Luna Lovegood, by the way." Ginny said gesturing to the blonde.

"Hello." She said in a dreamy voice. She had grey eyes and radish earrings. I noticed her necklace of butterbeer caps and how she stuck her wand behind her left ear for safekeeping.

"Hi." I responded still taking in her appearance.

"Luna and I were just talking about Sirius Black." Ginny stated.

"Mhm, although I can't exactly figure out why everyone is so afraid of him," Luna said with an expression as though she were trying to figure out a very difficult Arithmancy problem.

"Why?" I asked.

"Well, there's a theory that recently popped up that Sirius Black is just Stubby Boardman in disguise, and I think it makes sense." She said, her eyes popping.

"Oh, thats nice. It was very nice meeting you, Luna but I really think I should eat."

Luna nodded and I said bye to Ginny and walked into the Great Hall. I swept past the House tables looking for the rest of the Weasley clan. I found them at the end Gryffindor Table and I sat down. I noticed some glares and curious looks on me. I tapped Hermione's shoulder and she jumped.

"Y/n!" She breathed. I gave a smile and waved. She got Ron and Harry's attention by clearing her throat. Ron raised an eyebrow and Harry looked at me in surprise.

"What're you doing here, Y/n?" Ron asked.

"Why can't I be here?" I said.

"Well—" Ron spoke.

"Is it because I'm a Slytherin?" I asked a bit mad and worried.

"No! Of course not!" Ron exclaimed.

"Its just that Slytherins don't really sit with Gryffindors." Hermione said uneasily.

"Why? My horned-serpent friend sits with me all the time at the Thunderbird table." a pang of sadness hit me as I thought of my best friend who hadn't written to me yet.

"Well, this isn't like Ilvermorny, Y/n, there are prejudices against Houses. Slytherin and Gryffindor have the biggest prejudices for each other." Hermione explained.

"Well thats stupid." I stated as I took a muffin off the tray. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ron and Harry exchanging small smirks and Hermione looking a bit proud. I continued eating my muffin when two pairs of hands clapped me on the back.

"OW!" I exclaimed.

"Woah there, Y/n." I heard Freds voice.

"Just wanted to say good morning." I heard George sigh.

"—And that we don't care that you're a Slytherin." They finished together.

I laughed and shook my head.

"Ohokay." I giggled. They sat at either side of me and we chatted as I nibbled on the muffin. We were just talking about Hogsmeade while the other three stressed about their electives.

"What're you taking, Y/n?" Ron asked curiously.

"I'm not sure yet," I answered, "probably Care of Magical Creatures but I wanna take at least one more. What'll you be taking?"

"I think I'll be doing Care of Magical Creatures and Divination." Responded Ron.

"I'll do that too." Piped in Harry.

"Then that'll be what I'm doing too. We already know Hermione's taking about all of them." I said while looking at the schedule, "Hey, Hermione?"

She looked at me in response.

"A lot of the classes you're taking overlap, how're you gonna get to them?"

"I have it all planned out, Y/n, no need to worry." She said

I just shrugged in response and turned back to the twins. A few moments passed and I felt a firm grip on my hand that pulled me up and started dragging me to the Slytherin table.

"Hey!" I squirmed. I saw Fred and George stand up but Hermione stopped them and motioned towards the staff table. I was sat down and I turned to face my kidnapper. It was Lacey. "What was that for!?" I asked angrily.

Lacey was red in the face, "We're not supposed to sit there." She breathed.

"We can if we want! The teachers didn't stop me! Its stupid prejudice!" I said angrily as other Slytherins glared.

"She thinks so too." Tai responded. I looked at her puzzled.

"What?" I demanded. Lacey gave Tai a death glare that she ignored.

"Lacey just took the opportunity to go to the Gryffindor table." Said Tai plainly.

"I still don't understand." I said. Lacey looked away.

"You see that boy over there?" Said Tai pointing to a boy with messy brown hair and sky blue eyes, "Thats Mason Chesters. He and Lacey have things for each other."

I looked at Lacey in surprise.

"What does it matter?" Said Lacey in a stressed voice, "my family won't support it." Said Lacey with her head down.

"Why?" I asked.

"Oh c'mon, Y/n, don't be dense!" She said angrily, "his family are blood traitors! Mine despise those kinds of people! And don't forget he's a Gryffindor!" Lacey looked like she was about to burst into tears. She must really like him. "We've been meeting privately but I don't know how long it'll last. My cousin already almost caught me." She sighed.

"Who's your cousin?" I asked.

"Draco Malfoy." She said and stood up and left the hall.

"How?" I asked Tai.

"Well, her dad's Lucius Malfoy's brother. He was killed by an Auror so she's living with Draco's family. They treat her well, especially Narcissa Malfoy. And Draco really does care about her, its just their prejudice views. Do you have prejudices in America?" Asked Tai.

"Yes but not as bad as this." I scoffed. I stood up and exited the hall, cursing under my breath. How can people be so horrible?
