NIGERIAN MOTHER

North,east,west and South;beat her heartT.
Iconic To strength and wondeR.
Gold to her husband;Reaching for his love in racE.
Early bird she became,Ever since she accepted the name "mamA"-
Rising by the sun's Nakedness in her greatnesS.
Ideal Goddess of wisdom to yoU,
A fortiori,To be your greatest teacheR!
Nabbing worries off Her beloveds with peacE.

Mother- a Hack not in halF.
O! Compatriots! Let your hearts float Over her love-pooL,
To where Niger and Benue meet;for her Love moves to and frO.
Hitting darkness with her Dark skin's gloW,
Elegance is the Earmark she holds in embracE-
Rising and Radiating like a staR.
