Falling For You - A.M.

♡ Chapter 20 ♡

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I groaned as I turned it off, and dragged myself out of bed.

Today was August 1st; the first day of school. I wasn't really excited to be starting a new school, but I do want to see what this year will bring.

I grabbed a towel and some clothes and went to the bathroom. I took my shower and dressed myself, then went back to my room to do my hair. I sat on the floor in front of my full length mirror and blow dried my hair, then curled it. When I was finished, I stood up and examined myself in the mirror. I was wearing ripped jean capris, a black and white flowy chevron print tank top, and black toms. For my make-up I just put on my usual mascara and lip gloss.

"Honey, I made some breakfast if you're hungry." My mom said from the doorway.

I jumped at the sound of her voice. "I didn't even know you were there." I laughed. "I'll be down in a minute."

"Okay." She smiled.

I grabbed my school bag and my binder and took my phone off my nightstand. I walked down the stairs and set my things down on the couch so I wouldn't have to walk back upstairs to get them.

"I made you a plate already. It's on the table." My mom said as I entered the kitchen.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"You're welcome."

I sat down at the table and began eating my breakfast.

The front door opened, then closed and Connor walked into the kitchen.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi, Connor." My mom said.

"Hey guys." He said to us both.

I wasn't really surprised that he let himself in because barging in to each others house was just something we did sometimes.

"Do you want some breakfast?" My mom asked him.

"No thanks, I already ate." He said, sitting at the table.

"Goodmorning." Erica had this huge smile on her face as she walked down the stairs.

"Someone's in a good mood." I laughed.

She walked over to the table and sat in the chair beside me.

"Zach and I are walking to school together, and afterwards he's taking me somewhere, but he won't tell me where." She continued to smile.

"Aw, oh my gosh. You guys are adorable." I gushed.

Connor groaned and rolled his eyes, and Erica and I just giggled.

She looked down at her phone and her smile grew. "He's here. Bye guys." She shot up from the seat and rushed outside.

"There must be something great about him because i've never seen her so excited over a boy before." I said.

"Yeah, I guess so." He said.

My phone vibrated so I took it from my pocket and read the text.

'Meet me outside. I have something to tell you. ~Austin'

'Be right there -jessie'

"Hey, um, Austin's waiting for me outside. He has to tell me something apparently, so i'll be right back." I explained to Connor before I went outside.

I walked outside and saw him standing in the walkway.

He looked good today. He was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, grey Jordan's, and.... a backpack?
