Falling For You - A.M.

♡ Chapter 23 ♡

I slowly opened my eyes as the sound of Austin's alarm went off. I groaned softly, not wanting to get up and ready for school.

"Good morning." Austin said in his morning voice.

His words startled me because I didn't know he was awake. He must've noticed because he started chuckling.

"I thought you were still asleep." I giggled. I turned around to face him.

"Nope." He smiled.

"Well, good morning then." I said, kissing his lips.

"Morning." He said again.

"Um, Austin?" I asked.

"What?"

"Are you ever going to turn your alarm off?" I laughed because the alarm had been going off this whole time.

"Oh yeah, sorry." He reached over to his phone and tapped the dismiss button.

He then stretched and I sat upright in his bed. I yawned quietly as he asked me a question.

"How'd you sleep?"

"I slept good." I smiled. "You?"

"Great." He smiled. We held eye contact for a moment until he broke it. "I should probably get in the shower now."

He stood up from the bed and grabbed a towel.

"You can change in here if you want or in the bathroom downstairs." He offered before disappearing into the hallway.

I got out from under the covers and stood up. I grabbed my overnight bag and pulled out all my clothes. I decided i'd just go into the bathroom to change since I needed the mirror to do my hair.

I led myself down the stairs, and into the bathroom where I quickly changed and brushed my hair, then sloppily fishtail braided it. There were a few stray strands of hair sticking out, but I was too lazy to fix them.

As I walked back up the stairs I could hear the shower running, letting me know that Austin was still in in there. I decided that i'd just wait for him in his room.

I put my pajamas in my overnight bag and took out my phone and started messing around on it.

I heard a knock on the door before hearing Austin's voice.

"Jess?"

"Yeah."

"I, uh, kind of forgot some things, so can you just close your eyes for a second." He asked.

"My god, are you naked?" I laughed.

"No! Well yeah, you know, under the towel, but.. just close your eyes."

I giggled, but did as he asked and closed my eyes and covered them with my hands. "They're closed and covered." I called out to him.

I heard him push the door open and walk in. A drawer opened and closed and his closet door was also pushed open. Then he walked back out and closed the door.

"Okay. I'm out." He said from the other side of the door.

"Okay." I said.

I laughed as I uncovered my eyes. I picked my phone back up and returned to my previous activity.

A minute or two later, the door open again to reveal Austin fully clothed.

"Sorry about that." He chuckled. "I just didn't want to barge in half naked."

"It's okay. That was actually funny."

He laughed. "Let's go."

He picked up his backpack as I picked up my bags. We stepped down the stairs and went outside. I waited for him as he locked up his house.
