Chapter 11

Saturday morning, Cyrus got up and dressed in black... he walked down stairs not saying anything to his mother as he walked out the door.. Tj came running down after him but was to late.. Cyrus was already out of his sight. Lizz was sitting at the dining room table crying. This was the normal morning in the Goodman house for the next few days till finally Tj was able to fallow Cyrus to see where he was going.. turned out Cyrus kept going to the playground where they first met. "Hey, mind if I sit?" Tj asked Cyrus. "No I don't mind.." Cyrus said. "I should have known this would be where you have been going." Tj said "How can you love me?" Cyrus asked "Muffin, you're special.. you have been there for me when I needed you... you're my rock... without you I'm lonely.. I love you for you and nothing will change that..." Tj said "You promise you'll always love me?" Cyrus asked "Yes my love, I'll always love you." Tj said. Then Cyrus pulled Tj close and kissed him. "I'm sorry I've been mopping around lately." Cyrus said as they pulled apart. "Muffin you lost someone... its normal to grieve.." Tj said "Yeah but I shouldn't be grieving for Him!" Cyrus Yelled. Tj was taken back. "What do you mean?" Tj asked. Cyrus was crying now. "I've never told anyone this not even my mom..." Cyrus began "Muffin you can tell me anything.." Tj said. Cyrus took a breath and continued "When my dad was drunk he.. he would beat me... I still have some bruises.. but he only did that if he could get me alone in the same room with him... that's why I liked having friends over when I had to be with him for the weekend..." Cyrus said "But the day we found him.. you didn't want me to stay with you.." Tj said "Because I knew his schedule... he would have been fast asleep by then and if he woke up I'd play a recording I made a while back... with Jonah..." Cyrus said "Oh, and that recording helped?" Tj asked "Yes because he never could remember that he had heard it before..." Cyrus said "Muffin what if he would have decided to enter your room?" Tj asked "Tj... I know you never would have left me alone.. you never listened to be before when there was times that I knew I would be ok.." Cyrus said. Tj was shocked, "What do you mean?" He asked. Cyrus laughed and said "I've seen you sleeping outside a few times while I was over there." Tj scratched the back of his head and said "What can I say.. I worry about you.." Cyrus smiles and said "I'm glad you do.. because that means you're a great boyfriend."
