I Miss Your Smile

Bad Start

" Welcome to our apartment. It's nothing special, but it's cozy none the less, " Leaf said as he opened the front door to their home.

The door revealed a sitting area with modern furniture. Hali took a while to scan the place.

" It is a nice place, " he said. The brothers smiled and placed them shoes in the little cabinet that's in the walls.

Then, Ochobot came from the kitchen to greet them.

" Welcome back, guys! " he greeted them with hugs. Then he saw Hali.
He gasped in shock, happy shock.

" Quake, who's this? " he asked. Quake smiled.

" Ochobot, this is Hali. He's a new Detective Android we got yesterday. He doesn't have a home but I guess now he does, " he said.

Ochobot's eyes were twinkling. He immediately hugged Hali. " You're welcome to our apartment, Hali! " he said.

Hali was startled by the hug. He stared at Ochobot. " Uh.. Hello, Ochobot, " Hali said. Ochobot pulled back.

" How do you know my name? " he asked.

" He can scan things, Ochobot. Just like you and many other robots! " Blaze said.

" Oh! Right! I almost forgot! Hehe! " Ochobot said. He scratched his head.
" Sometimes I forget I'm a robot! "

Hali looked at the happy robot, who was still hugging him.

" Hali, we're gonna be in our rooms okay? I'll be out in a moment. For now, do you mind helping Ochobot with the house chores a little? " Quake said.

" Of course not, EarthQuake, " Hali said. Quake smiled and went to his room.

" Come on, Hali! I'll show you how to clean the place! " Ochobot said excitedly. He took Hali's arm and pulled him to the kitchen.

7 in the evening.....

Quake just got out of the shower. He closed the door if the bathroom and turn the light off.

He dried off his hair as he went back to his room. He was going to open the door when he heard Ochobot giggling.
He wondered what was going on and stepped into the kitchen.

He saw Ochobot and Hali at the kitchen island. Ochobot was showing Hali how to make cookie dough. Ochobot looked so happy, Hali had a small smile on his face.

Quake smiled as well. To be honest, Ochobot hasn't smiled so wide like that before.

" Hali! The meat is ready! Let me show you how to set it up! " Ochobot said.

" Alright, Ochobot, " Hali said.
Quake didn't want to disturb them so he went back to his room.

" They're getting along well. I'm glad, " he said to himself.

" Guys! Dinner's ready! "

The brothers started to come out of their rooms, some were already at the table.
