Not What You Think He Is

The brothers got ready for the day in silence. They didn't really talk to each other, except for a few sentences of good mornings and how are yous.

Hali was caught between the siblings' awkward silence, but he didn't mind it. Their family problems weren't his concerns at that time.

Finally, they opened the front door and headed to work. Ochobot waved goodbye to them and closed the door.

Hali was at the back, following the others from behind. It wasn't long before they reached the HQ.

" Morning, guys! " Fang greeted them. The brothers, of course, excluding Cyclone, smiled at him. Fang immediately knew something went down at their home.

Though, he knew asking them about it wouldn't do any good for himself. So he might as well talk about this to Yaya, Ying and Gopal.

" I'm gonna be late for work. See you guys later! " Fang said to excuse himself. The brothers nodded and went on to their room as well.

They turned the lights on, went to their seats, put down their bags, and started work. Hali went to the corner near the door and just stood there.

The door opened not a few moments later, revealing Admiral Tarung and Commander Koko Ci.

" Good morning, everyone, " the Admiral said. The brothers stopped their working to greet them.

" Good morning, " they synced.

" Good morning, Admiral Tarung, Commander Koko Ci, " Hali said. Koko Ci looked at him.

" Oh, Hali. Doesn't your work start today? " he asked.

" Oh, yeah. It does. But I'm afraid I have no place to start it, " Hali said, putting his hand behind his neck.

" It's fine. You can take.... " Admiral Tarung started, he looked around the room. He saw an empty desk, waiting to be used.

" You can use th- "

Then he remembered. He lowered his hand that was pointing to the desk. Cyclone saw the action, and was kind off pissed, but at the same time, pleased that Tarung stopped in his tracks. He went back to his work as if he hadn't seen anything.

" Um.. I guess you would have to wait for another vacant desk. Apologies, " Tarung said.

" It's not a problem at all, Admiral Tarung. I shall patiently await for the right time, " Hali said.

" Right. Oh yes, Hali. I've been meaning to remind you to go check on the Android in the cells for a while. You know, just to make sure he's still alright, " Koko Ci said.

Hali stared at him for a moment, his LED was blinking yellow. It has been a habit for Androids to do that.

Finally, he answered. " I will head to the cells now, " he said. He bowed down and headed for the door. He stopped for a while, and turned around.

" Also, his name is Samuel, " he said before closing the door.

Hali proceeded to the cells. And of course there were people who just won't keep their anger issues to themselves.
