Hali didn't answer. He quickly made his way to the attic.
" Hali, wait! " Leaf said, going after him.
The attic door was open, just as Hali suspected. He reached in his jacket and took out a gun with red highlights on it.
He proceeded into the attic.
The attic was filled with boxes and dirty cloths. Hali understood why the Android would hide in there.
He held the gun close to him as he scanned the room for heat waves. He found one. Behind the dirty curtain at the corner.
Hali approached the corner slowly and carefully. He reached out his hand to the cloth.
After a second of waiting, he yanked off the cloth from the ceiling, letting dust fly all over the place.
And there he was. The Android who killed his owner. He was very banged up, there was red and blue blood all over him. He raised his arms up protectively.
" Don't hurt me! Please! " he pleaded.
Hali had the gun in his hands, he could shoot him. But he looked into the Android's eyes. They were full of fear.
He decided not to shoot. He put the gun back into his jacket.
" Please.. Don't turn me in.... I was just protecting myself.. Please! " the Android said.
Hali said nothing. He just looked at the Android. Then he heard the detectives calling for him.
" Hali? Hali! Are you okay? Is he there? " they shouted.
" Please.. Please! I don't want to be deactivated! I don't want to die! " the Android pleaded.
" Hali! Answer us! " Leaf shouted.
Hali had no choice. He needed to finish the mission.
" I have found the Android! He's up here! " Hali shouted back. This gave the bloody Android a shock of despair.
Cops started coming in and handcuffing the Android. The Android looked at Hali.
" I'm sorry, Samuel. You are under arrest, " Hali said.
..........
They were back at the HQ, they were going to try and interrogate the Android.
Samuel was already in the interrogation room, handcuffed to the table. He had his head hung low facing the table.
The detectives and Chief RamenMan were behind the sound-proof windows in the other room, looking at him.
" So, bad cop? Good cop? " the twins said.
" Pretty sure Tarung's gonna be bad cop, " Solar said.
" Of course I am, " Tarung said. " Come on, Quake. Let's interrogated this Android. "
Quake nodded and followed him out of the room, and into the interrogation room.
