Growing on Him

Quake sat on the chair in front of a room, probably taking a breather. The incident that occured an hour ago was taking a toll on him. He couldn't get it out of his head.

-FLASHBACK-

Quake hadn't found anything, neither did Fang who was with him. They had turned off the app after a while now and had only rested in the car.

While Fang kept talking about wishing that Sabrina was on thier side of town, they heard a gunshot, it alerted everyone on their side of the city. Quake and Fang made eye contact, both looking alerted and protective.

" Let's go, " Quake said. Fang nodded and they both got back in the car. Fang started the engine and they sped to where the gunshot occured.

They reached the place in no time, at the club building. They got out of the car and made eye contact for a while.

" It must have happened at the back. Come on!! " Quake said. Fang agreed. They took their guns at the ready and proceeded to the back. And what they saw was beyond imagination.

Cyclone was there standing stiff, gun in hand. Quake and Fang walk over to him. " Cyclone, are you okay? Are you hurt? " Quake asked. Cyclone didn't answer.

" Cy, what happened to y- " Fang stopped talking when he saw what was in front of Cyclone. " Oh my god.... "

Sabrina was there, a robot puppy next to her, looking distressed. " S.. Sabrina? " Sabrina looked at them, she had tear stains on her cheeks, which surprised the two detectives. What she said just surprised them more.

" H.... Help.. H.. Him.... " she croaked. She had another person with her, on her lap, seemingly unconscious. He looked familiar. Then it struck Quake and Fang. They immediately ran to her side.

" HALI!! "

END OF FLASHBACK

Quake sighed. Hali got shot in the chest from protecting the deviated Android. It seemed that Cyclone was distressed for whatever reason. Hali was brought immediately back to the Android shop they got him from.

Quake sighed once more. " What am I gonna do with you, Cyclone? "

Cyclone sat at the balcony, looking into nothing basically. He didn't want to go back, not tonight. Cyclone chugged down a drink, emptying it almost immediately. He sighed defeatedly,

Why does life like to play with him so much? He didn't do anything wrong.

He closed his eyes for a brief moment and opened them back up. His eyes didn't feel the same, the last thing he saw before dozing off was the blue sky.

" Detective Cyclone? Detective Cyclone, wake up. "

Cyclone slowly opened his eyes, sleepiness still all around him. He woke up to a blob of black, and a little red.

His eyes eventually focused and he could see clearly again. He saw Hali hovering over him.
