Part Four: Sam's POV

I looked in the mirror at my body. I was in nothing but a pair of boxers, and couldn't help the tears in my eyes. Nothing about my body was right. My hips were too narrow, my chest too flat, my face too masculine.
I opened the medicine cabinet, pulling out a small bag of makeup. It was just the basics: foundation, eyeliner, mascara, lip balm, and lip gloss, along with a small beauty blender. I applied the makeup, then went back into my room. Reaching back into the closet, I pulled out a purple sweater and a black skater style skirt. I pulled the outfit on, sighing happily at the way it felt.
Grabbing my phone, I walked back into the bathroom and put on some music, trying to fix my hair.
"One day..." I whispered, looking in the mirror.
One day I would get to be myself. One day I would get to be Samantha.
I jumped as my phone went off.
Lee(Flower Boy) who's ready to hang out????:)))))
"Fuck... I forgot about that." I wiped off my makeup, fighting back tears, and went back into my room. I took off the sweater and skirt, replacing them with an Imagine Dragons hoodie and a pair of plain white sweatpants.
Sam-O omw
I cringed at the name Lee had given me in the group chat. Sure, he didn't know any better, but it still hurt.
It suddenly dawned on me. These people didn't really know me. I could tell them. What would they do? Tell my friends? They didn't know any of them. I smiled, planning my first ever coming out as I went downstairs, pulling on my beat up Van's when I got to the bottom of the stairs.
When I got to the park where we were all supposed to meet, I saw Lee and Draco, but Hailey and Tiler were nowhere to be found.
"Hey. Where are the other two?" I asked, walking towards them.
"Hailey moved across the country, so we won't be seeing her again. And Tiler's at football practice for another ten minutes," Draco said.
"Oh. Okay. Well, that actually kinda works out. I've got something to tell y'all and I think it'll be a lot easier with just two people than it would've been with four."
"What's up buttercup?" Lee chimed, smiling from ear to ear.
I hesitated, not really ready to say it out loud. "Well, um, I'm a trans girl. I've known all my life, but didn't have a word to describe it until fairly recently." I sighed, feeling a huge weight lift off my shoulders.
"OHMYGOODNESSCANWEGIVEYOUAMAKEOVERPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!!" Lee yelled, without stopping to breathe.
"Well, the thing is, I've never told anyone before..."
"Dude... I mean, girl, just say yes so he'll shut up," Draco laughed, "it doesn't have to be anything extreme. And, if you wanna come out to your parents, we can help you."
"Okay, yeah, that sounds nice. In fact, I'm gonna call my mom and tell her right now." I took a deep breath, reaching into my pocket and selecting "Momma" in my emergency contacts.
     "Hello?"
"Hey, mom, I have something to tell you..."
     "What is it sweetie?"
"Um, I'm a trans girl... I wanna go by Samantha. And I really hope you'll accept me."
     Silence.
     Then laughter.
"Honey, I've known that ever since you were little. I just wanted you to figure it out on your own."
      "Wait, really?"
"Yeah honey. Now, I gotta go. But have fun with your friends."
I sighed, feeling too many emotions. Just then, Tiler pulled up in his beat up Mustang.
     "What's up?"
"Sam is a Sammy!" Lee yelled, jumping up and down.
"Oh, cool. So what we doing?"
     "Makeover, apparently," Draco grumbled.
And with that, we all piled into Draco's truck.

AN: so, I had Hailey move across the country due to the fact that the person she's based on and I had a falling out, so yeah
