Blair's POV:
I pull into the icy driveway of my parent's house, listening to the snow crack as I step out into the cold, towards the front door.
I knock once before my mom swinging the front door open and pulling me in for a suffocating, but warm, hug.
"Oh my gosh sweetie! You're home!" She squeals. My dad comes running towards me and gives me a big hug as well.
I then peel through them and see Skylar standing in the kitchen with a wide smile, along with her boyfriend, Shawn. I run up to her and give her a tight hug and she returns it.
"Its so good to see you again!" She screams.
"Its so good to see you all too! Ive missed every single one of you!" I say.
"Where's this Nick guy you've been telling me about?" Skylar asked, curious as always.
"He couldn't come. He's visiting his parents back in Boston."
"Ah well that's too bad. I sure would love to meet him though. Is he hot?!" she asks, being nosy like a high school
girl wanting to know the latest gossip."Oh my gosh Sky!" I say, turning pink in embarrassment.
I quickly hustle out the door to avoid anymore awkward conversations with her. Gosh she can be so weird at times.
After I bring my suitcase in and unpack my bags in my old room, I finally begin to notice the Christmas decorations all around me.My mom was always that type of person who just loved getting involved with the holiday's. Especially Christmas. Every year, she always went all out during Christmas, but she definitely outdid herself this year.
Downstairs, I spot the gigantic Christmas tree with beautiful, sparkling ornaments hanging from each branch.
I smell the gingerbread cookies that my mom just pulled out of the oven. Mini Santa Clauses are everywhere. Stockings hang from the fireplace, each with our names on them.
Christmas always made me feel happy and calm. It wasn't that fact that we got presents that made me happy but it was just the scenery and the emotions it made you feel.
It always made me joyful to buy gifts for everyone, thinking long and hard on what to get them because I wanted to give them thoughtful gifts, not just things like money or gift cards.
Christmas was in three days and I was more than excited. I already finished buying and wrapping everyone's gifts up. They were sitting nice and warm underneath the Christmas tree.
In three days we will be having an amazing meal with turkey and gravy and delicious mashed potatoes that make your mouth start to water at the smell of them.
The hardest part during Christmas was always the wait. Days seemed to drag longer than usual and people seem to move slower than usual.
When Christmas morning finally came though, it seemed to move much faster than I expected. Before I knew it, I heard the familiar ring of the doorbell.
Ding, dong!
"Blair! Can you get that for me sweetie?" My mom asks from the kitchen.
"Yeah! Just a sec!" I shout back. I pull on my maroon sweater and tug my black leggings on, tying my hair into a messy bun. I trot down the stairs towards the door as I hear it ring once more.
Opening the door, I come face to face with Sean, Pete, and Brenda. No sign of Asher.
"Hi Blair! How are you?" Brenda asks me in her always cheerful voice.
