It's been exactly twenty four hours since I've sat in Jimin's car. Empty boxes of pop tarts were thrown in the back seat as Jimin sped down the endless road. I reached towards the radio, turning up the volume as one of my favorite songs, Come on Eileen, played [you should actually play the song lmao]
I closed my eyes, letting my arm hang outside the window as I tapped my hand against the door. I got a call from Brooke and Hoseok a couple minutes ago, telling us to come to the diner they were at. I'm closer to Jimin than I've ever been before. We've really gotten to become close friends—the kind that push each others buttons.
"Stop singing—you sound like a dying horse." Jimin turned to me.
"How rude." I flipped my hair, acting as if I were offended. "What other cassettes do you have in here?" I asked, rummaging through the car's compartments.
"My mom gave me her cassette from a couple years back—Madonna and shit like that."
"This is my fucking song!" I nearly jumped out of my seat, as I reached over to raise the volume. "Just a small town girl—living in a lonely world. She took the midnight train going anywhere."
"Just a city boy." I playfully turned to Jimin, singing my heart out to him. "Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York—"
Jimin broke into laughter, shaking his head from embarrassment.
"He took the midnight train going any—
"Ah—you made me miss the exit." He cursed to himself while I continued to balance laughing and singing at the same time.
Jimin glared at me— with a look that could kill. I smiled, shrugging my shoulders as I handed him a map. "Use this."
He slapped the map out of my hand, before taking a sharp right turn. I widened my eyes, slowly facing him.
"Are you trying to kill me?"
"Maybe." He shrugged his shoulders, smirking a little.
"Haven't you been to this diner before?"
"Jungkook usually drives there, but you know—he's being a dipshit right now."
"I didn't mean for that to happen." I pursed my lips together, feeling guilty. "I ruined your friendship with him."
